Tuberose is tired, it needs to sleep
I think Rogue is mainly popular for their chypres and "gentleman's" fragrances, but they do florals very well. I've mentioned my love of white florals before, and in particular I've mentioned that Jasmin Antique is my current favorite jasmine. Well, what Jasmin Antique is doing for jasmine, Champs Lunaires is doing for tuberose. Take a white flower, amp it up until it becomes almost overripe, and present it whole and fleshy.

To me, tuberose often seems to have a bit of a rubbery nature to it, playing a balancing act between natural and synthetic. Here, this feels deliberately ignored, and instead the sweet and creamy aspects are played up, so you end up with a pure white floral that feels as if it could be spread with a knife. I think I can feel something indolic about this, but it's drowned in a gallon of milk. This romantic meeting in a moonlit garden will end with nothing more than a chaste kiss. Jasmin Antique felt like it had a bit of a growl hiding beneath the petals, but Champs Lunaires has only a lullaby. And honestly, sometimes that's all you need.

Champs Lunaires Review, Comparison with Fracas and Do Son
Here is tuberose, with all the classic aspects: the sweetness, the fattiness (the buttery or coconut milk aspect), the cloying headiness, a tiny bit of indoles, a tiny bit of green.
Opens with sweet and buttery tuberose, dries down quickly with a slight and gentle tartness, then that disappears and makes way for a musky, creamy skin scent. Average to low sillage, average to low longevity.

----
Comparison:

Champs Lunaires is a lighter, softer sister of Fracas Eau de Parfum. Fracas has a much bigger pyramid, stronger sillage, and a fruity aspect as well, which this one lacks. Champs Lunaires's tuberose is not much like Do Son Eau de Toilette's tuberose - it has a tartness, while Do Son does not. CL's tuberose is just as fatty-creamy-milky as Fracas and Do Son. It is less heady, strong and sweet than Fracas, but more heady, strong and sweet than Do Son.
When I compare a spray of CL on one hand to a spray of Fracas on the other, Fracas develops into a peachy fruity floral after twenty minutes, while CL has a little tartness, it doesn't overwhelm the tuberose. Also, the addition of musk means that the final drydown of CL is a creamy skin musk scent. Do Son stays as a creamy-aquatic tuberose during drydown, but disappears more quickly.
Finally, CL does not have a green aspect, while I do notice the presence of fresh green in Fracas, but not in Do Son. All three have low indole, with Fracas being the highest.
Fracas lasts the longest of these three perfumes. I would say Champs Lunaires has slightly higher longevity than Do Son per mL.

waxy-fatty meter : 4/5, same as Fracas, Do Son is 4/5
sweetness meter 3.5/5, less sweet than Fracas, which is 4/5, Do Son is 3/5
headiness meter: 2/5, where Fracas is 4/5, Do Son is 3/5
tartness meter: 3/5 - tart aspect is here, as in Fracas, where it is 4/5 on drydown, in Do Son it is 2/5
green meter 1/5, Fracas 3/5, Do Son 1/5
indole meter: 2/5, Fracas 3/5, Do Son 2/5

Thanks for reading, I hope you find this helpful.

Milky fresh tuberoses
Great job by Manuel cross for Rogue perfume. One of the most beautiful tuberoses perfume I have tried. I find a small issue with the performance since It doesnt last too much on my skin and the projection is only average, but this makes It perfect for the daily Life. It is like a everyday versión of carnal flower by frederick Malle, which is Richer, more intense and with a higher concentration of essences, and so that, perfect for night time use.
The opening of champs lunaires is citrusy and fresh. I find even like a minth vibe, which produces a cold feeling on my nose. Quickly appear the coconut milk, making sweeter the perfume and giving a milky and creamy vibe, close to a sun lotion un dime moments. The dry down has a musky character too.
I find this creation as a modern perfume with a classic tuberoses fragrances soul, perfect for daytime use, very elegant and with a very urban character. It lasts only about 4-5 hours on my skin but... What a 4-5 hours!!

Luxurious Light Florals...
Champs Lunaires opens with a smooth coconut milk and airy non-indolic tuberose duo with just a hint of underlying rose before transitioning to its heart. As the composition enters its early heart the non-indolic airy tuberose takes the fore with the coconut milk and now more vociferous light rose remaining in support, coupling with a vague fruity citrus accord. During the late dry-down the tuberose gradually recedes as does the coconut milk, leaving the remnants of the fruity accord and gentle rose turning slightly powdery as they couple with barely detectable slightly sweet sandalwood from the base. Projection is average to above average, and longevity excellent at around 12 hours on skin.

At its core Champs Lunaires is a tuberose focused composition. Unlike the much more hardcore deep indolic tuberose of Flos Mortis from the same house, the stuff here is light, airy and enhanced by an equally airy, fruity rose that melds perfectly with the white floral. The coconut milk is immediately detectable on initial application and acts as a successful binder for the airy florals. I have worn this composition a number of times and like it more and more with every wear. That said, something in the back of mind screamed I had smelled a perfume in the same general vicinity previously, but just couldn't remember what it was... After putting my mind to it, I now realize that the general fragrance profile I was thinking of was the original formula of Richard James Savile Row. If you aren't familiar with Richard James, it is in the general mold of compositions like Dia Man from Amouage. No, Champs Lunaires does not smell exactly like Richard James, but the fruity non-indolic lighter tuberose presentation definitely is in the same ball park, exuding sophistication, subtlety and uber-luxury. As I love compositions like Dia Man and Richard James (owning vintage bottles of both) it should come as no surprise that I love Champs Lunaires as well. The bottom line is the $125 per 60 ml bottle Champs Lunaires is an "excellent" 4 stars out of 5 rated perfume that would smell great on anyone and is recommended to sophisticated light floral lovers of both genders.

After a brief and airy, citric floral-green opening, this creamy/sweet fruity-floral Spring fragrance, settles to a smooth musky-woody base.
