The fragrance starts with a pleasantly sweet rose that brings the first impression very close to the original. It immediately transports you to the world of luxurious fragrances.
....However, the scent of Sateen is much simpler than the original. While Oud Satin Mood develops its notes slowly and in several layers, Sateen is much faster and also more linear. Within an hour, the sweet rose note gives way to a soft, woody accord. Although this transition is certainly pleasant, it is not as refined and deep as in Oud Satin Mood. The subtle interplay of notes is somewhat lost here.
