Interesting Facts
One of the characteristics of Lebanese fashion designer Elie Saab is his unique story because Saab followed an unusual path than that of his colleagues. He carried the passion for fashion, patterns, designs, and sketches already as a child. His family had no connections to the fashion industry. After a year in France, Elie Saab returned to his homeland and opened his first fashion studio under the name "Beirut-Based Fashion".

After his admission to the Italian Fashion Chamber (1997) as the first foreigner, the fashion world became aware of Elie Saab's work. With his "Ready-to-wear" series (1998) and through Halle Berry's dress for Oscar night in 2002, the fashion designer turned heads worldwide. Meanwhile, the fashion designer sells his work in Beirut, Paris, and many European capitals. His clientele includes mainly European princesses, actresses, some first ladies, and the first Hollywood squad. Even the wax figure of Kate Winslet at "Madame Tussauds" was dressed by Elie Saab.

The fashion designer's design goes back to his childhood when he was still trying his hand at patterns. The high-quality fabrics are enhanced with lace, pearls, precious stones, and embroidery. This creates an elegant touch without being too playful.

Occasionally, Elie Saab also works as a room designer. For example, he furnished the luxurious "Grand Bleu Tower" residential tower located on Emaar Beachfront Island on his own. The finest fabrics, high-end appliances, and a focus on unparalleled views make the tower a distinguished one.
