Coffee! To wake up, enjoy, and… possibly take care of bigger business! :D
Coffee… yes… coffee is probably one of humanity's greatest indulgences. Hardly anyone can get by without it anymore. With too much dependence on coffee, this drink is even referred to as a drug by some! But usually, coffee is not just about waking up, nor is it consumed just to quickly take care of business in the morning, although some people do drink coffee for that very reason. Like a friend of mine on vacation, who brewed coffee every morning from cheap hotel coffee grounds, especially in Thailand, where there weren't exactly coffee shops on every corner.
Me: “Ah, you’re making coffee?”
Her: “Yes, I need to poop!”
Me: “... oh yes... you could have expressed that a little more ladylike! :D”
Her: “Uh, I need to really take a shit??”
Me: “*sigh*… go poop, man!” :DD
Hmm… well, those are nice vacation memories, aren’t they? He he.
Anyway, I actually wanted to point out that coffee is mostly consumed simply for its wonderful taste, just for enjoyment. Right? At least that’s how it is for me. I mean, after a while, you get a bit used to coffee, so that you’re not immediately wide awake with a regular cup, right? And you can hardly handle really strong coffee then :D What do you do in that case? Right, you could reach for tea, whose effects unfold more slowly but keep you awake longer. It’s just unfortunate if you’re also a notorious tea drinker and the tea here hardly has any effect anymore…
But never mind, I have the ultimate wake-up call! I’ll tell you more about that shortly, but first, here’s the scent description for a fragrance with a delicious coffee scent,… um… coffee fragrance, I meant of course :D
Gradually, you can also smell the vetiver. While it doesn’t smell too earthy or grassy yet, you can still recognize this note well. I personally hope that the vetiver doesn’t become any stronger, but we’ll see. I have nothing against vetiver, but I only find it suitable in a few fragrances. And for a sweet, soft coffee scent, I would find it rather inappropriate… but well, as I said, we’ll see how it develops later.
For now, the scent remains beautifully soft and sweet-powdery. And of course, it continues to smell of wonderful coffee.
And somehow it stays that way. Because even after several hours, the vetiver thankfully remains weak, so it doesn’t become bothersome in the end. The sweetness in the fragrance becomes a bit stronger and now smells like a mix of the mentioned tonka bean and vanilla with a hint of slightly bitter coffee. Yes, I really like this scent!
Hmmm… you know, the scent initially reminded me a bit of Valentino Uomo (EDT), which also has a coffee scent that comes across even softer and smoother than this 4711 one. However, the 4711 also becomes softer and smoother, it just takes a little longer because the coffee here smells like coffee for a bit longer before it mixes too much with the soft and sweet notes. In any case, Coffee Bean & Vetiver is a fairly simple but very beautiful coffee scent for cool days, which you could occasionally spritz on during the day, even at work, as it won’t disturb anyone (on the contrary, as I said, it smells good, but most people won’t notice it from a distance due to the quickly diminishing sillage). Too weak for going out, but otherwise quite nice, especially for the affordable price. Yes, anyone who likes coffee in fragrance form should definitely give this a sniff!
So, now quickly to my ultimate wake-up call that I mentioned earlier in the introduction, which especially shows its effect in the cold winter: Every morning at 5 AM, I have to get up anyway, that’s just how it’s set for me, whether it’s a weekday or weekend. Why? Because every morning at 5 AM (sometimes also at six), a certain furry guy thinks he has roamed enough during the night and it’s about time to return to the apartment. And in winter, it’s particularly bad, especially since he often waits at least two or three minutes in front of the window, while the icy winter turns the entire apartment into an ice sculpture in that short time. Yes, that will ALWAYS wake you up :DD

But never mind, I have the ultimate wake-up call! I’ll tell you more about that shortly, but first, here’s the scent description for a fragrance with a delicious coffee scent,… um… coffee fragrance, I meant of course :D
The Scent:
The scent starts sweet and soft, the sweetness reminiscent of tonka beans. Quickly, the wonderful coffee aroma comes through. Of course, the coffee here smells a bit different than if you were to stick your nose in a bag of coffee or smell freshly brewed coffee, as the coffee here is blended with a powdery sweetness (and thus smells more “perfumey”), but you can still tell that it’s coffee, and anyone who likes this note will find pleasure in it. I certainly like this scent :)Gradually, you can also smell the vetiver. While it doesn’t smell too earthy or grassy yet, you can still recognize this note well. The Sillage and Longevity:
The sillage is quite good for a 4711 Colonia, but it noticeably decreases after a few hours. However, the longevity turned out to be really good, as the scent lasted over ten hours on me. The Bottle:
The bottle has the shape of the typical Molanus bottles from 4711, only this one is cylindrical and has patterned glass, which makes it look like antique or old-fashioned bottles. It looks nice, even if the label isn’t particularly special. Hmmm… you know, the scent initially reminded me a bit of Valentino Uomo (EDT), which also has a coffee scent that comes across even softer and smoother than this 4711 one.
