Sweet smokey Rose

Well I was on the "Hunt" for Rose perfume again and this was recommended by the lovely SA. Though not a Rosy Rose.....its a Really beautiful blend, i don't find it a secret garden though, it is mysterious yes! I get lovely wafts of sweet roses, sweet honeyed florals and this gentle incense smoke like effect by the vetiver, cederwood & clove, blended seamlessly. It reminds me ever so of Loukhoum in a small way...but not so sweet and add more soft smokey incense. Love this beauty very much, i feel its going to be a autumn/winter favourite now. It's gentle but long lasting, the dry down is quite sweet on me, though my skin does play up sweetness in a perfume. A real hidden beauty this is!

Nostalgic Roses

I had recently indulged myself in the secret garden as a pocket bottle - and titled the Kommi with fine pink Bon Bons.

I like sweets and was satisfied with my purchase.

But now I bought myself a 50 ml bottle as a successor - and now
the fragrance appears amazingly different.

Fine pink Bon Bons are no longer in my mind - but fine pink roses - in the style of the old Austin roses, which also exude a powdery sweet scent.

These nostalgic roses are the centre of attention - but they harmonise well with the clove.
Ambrette seed has a soft effect and the vanilla adds another fine sweetness that does not make the fragrance squeaky sweet.

With all my fondness for delicacies, I like this rose garden much better.
