Handle with care
I had previously written a rather negative comment about this fragrance, but today I tried it again in the perfumery.

Sweet - as described above, I don't perceive it that way - but it is indeed very exclusive and special.
It is floral, but with a bitter base note.
This is softened by the creamy consistency of the fragrance.
The fruits shimmer through lightly, and the lilac also makes its presence known.
But the main role is played by the wisteria.
This makes the fragrance interesting - and elegant.
The vanilla also appears unsweet - but adds softness.

I only took a small spray - yet my friend asks in the car what smells so good here?
Maybe I applied too much during the first test?
Because I think wisteria works best in a sparing dosage.

So: Handle with care.

Lilac
Now explain to me why Wisteria, or Blue Rain, smells like lilac. And authentically.
I haven't discovered any similarities online.

When I opened the Glicine sample, I knew immediately, this is lilac and my heart took a huge leap.
Have I finally found it, the one and true lilac scent?
With lilac, I always start to crave it and would love to pour the perfumes over my head by the bucketful.*gg*

I have to directly compare Glicine with Pur Desir de Lilas by Y.Rocher. It can't be helped, as they are too similar.
En Passant by Malle and After my Own Heart by Ineke are also lilac scents, but they don't seem as authentic as Glicine and Pur Desir de Lilas.

Glicine is a bit sweeter with a slight freshness, while Pur Desir de Lilas appears darker and even more lilac-heavy.

The major downside of both scents, unfortunately also with Glicine, is the longevity. I soon suspect that authentic lilac cannot be made to last.

My mother has an older bottle, but I don’t find it synthetic at all. It feels like standing next to a lilac tree. Very authentic.

In the opening, there’s not much besides the lemon, followed by synthetic floral notes dominated by lavender and a hint of wood at the end.

Deep dark calm lilac, reminds me of lilac scent in Mallorca. Summer evening, a storm is near, everything is brewing around dusty lilac.

Synthetic, hardly floral; not citrusy, more sour... boring.
