Like Guidance (Amouage) but better
I feel like this is what Guidance (Amouage) was hoping to be, and had it been, it might have been a better fragrance. It`s a pleasant, nutty sweet gourmand that has enough depth not to seem frivolous and enough sweetness not to seem overly serious. A pleasant scent for the colder season, easy reach, office appropriate. It smells exactly like my favorite nut coffee at Nishimura`s Coffee Shop, a Kobe City staple. Would I Say Yes? Neah. It`s a little too simple for me, but sometimes, when my nose becomes fatigued from sampling perfumes and I just need a simple, uncomplicated scent, this will do.

Glad I Said Yes
Say Yes from Agonist is a fragrance that I purchased early on in my fragrance journey. I remember acquiring it from someone who sold an unopened bottle on eBay. The appeal of this fragrance lies in its ability to boost my mood, rather than being tailored for a specific occasion. I particularly enjoy wearing it during the time between breakfast and lunch when I'm out early, meeting friends for brunch. It strikes a balance between being noticeable without drawing too much attention.

Say Yes is not overly sweet or cloying, and I wouldn't recommend blindly buying it without testing it on your skin first. The scent can vary depending on individual body chemistry, so it's best to obtain a decant if you can find this discontinued fragrance. It should be noted that the scent can be polarizing and may not suit everyone's taste.

Personally, I'm glad I managed to snag a bottle of Say Yes, even though I wear it sparingly. Its main accords include sweet, gourmand, spicy, floral, and resinous notes. The fragrance pyramid showcases a blend of top notes like hazelnut, bergamot, and dried fig, heart notes including frangipani, vanilla, and jasmine, and base notes such as sandalwood, amber, and oud.

Overall, Say Yes is a unique scent that can add a touch of intrigue to your fragrance collection.

First roasted hazelnuts, then a lovely combination of creamy vanilla and medicinal oud. I like it, but not for long.

These gourmand-like (caramel and nut) oriental oud scents tire me out. I wouldn't need another one.

Half-gourmand - roasted hazelnut - fig is prominent - amber & sandalwood harmoniously integrated - oud & vanilla softly & quietly framed - I think it's great!

Not for hazelnut gourmands, yet a fine scent. Starts deliciously with hazelnut vanilla sandalwood. Then it gets drenched in flowers and oud.

When you mix "Side Effect" with "Blessed Baraka," you get this insanely amazing scent. YES! YES! YES!

Delicate, clear, yet special & expressive. Creamy vanilla, Oud clearly in the background. Jasmine and Frangipani add depth to the fragrance.

Tested at 33 degrees in the shade. Great hazelnut, supported by frangipani and mild oud. Definitely top in autumn/winter.

The name says it all. Yes, it's really good. So beautiful. Warm, soft, sandalwood, a bit gourmand, meant to be embraced but not bitten into.

Hazelnut & fig are an exciting combo, but for me, they're disrupted by frangipani-vanilla sweetness & unnecessary oud. Amber-sandal base is great.

Bitter hazelnuts that become a bit sweeter after a while but still quite dry. It has something, but I don't need to wear it.
