Bleu de Chanel with a blatant durability
As you can already tell from the name "Blue", Blue is a typical blue fragrance as it is written in the book.
Very citrusy and refreshing right from the start.
Lemon and a slightly bitter grapefruit dominate the opening.
The mint is also there somewhere, but I notice it less strongly.
In the DD it becomes a little more woody, but the fragrance never loses its freshness.
Ginger and vetiver join in and give the fragrance a slight spiciness.
The fragrance gives me pleasant shower gel vibes.
Blue is very reminiscent of Bleu de Chanel Eau de Parfum.
Unfortunately, I don't own the perfume to be able to compare them.
They are probably not totally identical, but still super similar.
As far as I can remember, the Chanel smells slightly more premium, but you have to pay a lot more for it.
You probably can't smell the difference in quality in the air either, so that's fine.
But the AAM scores in terms of performance.
The durability is amazing, two sprays on the forearm and I noticed it for 11 hours.
After 11 hours I had to wash myself, but by then it was so faint that I almost had to look for it.
Still impressive for such a freshie.
The radiance and sillage, on the other hand, are similar to the original or slightly better.
So not a beast, but you notice it and you are noticed.
Especially now with the warm temperatures, it didn't disappoint me.
It makes you feel like you've just stepped out of the shower, which is nice in summer.
This is supposed to be a unisex fragrance.
I don't see it that way now.
I think most people find BdC to be quite a masculine fragrance.
Blue is just as masculine and by no means unisex.
Perfect for the summer, for work, as it is long-lasting, fresh and not intrusive, also perfect for the gym.
You can actually wear it anytime and anywhere.
My conclusion: As I'm not the biggest BdC fan, one bottle is probably enough for me for life.
Those who like it complex and niche will probably not be happy here.
People who love simple blue fragrances that appeal to the masses can actually buy blue blindly.
You get designer quality for little money.
It's a little too boring for me, but I'm also more of a gourmand type, so you shouldn't take my small criticism too seriously.
