A great freshie that convinced me
Azure Royal is a fragrance that I have been circling around for a long time. The scent notes, especially the pear, sounded appealing to me. However, I always had the impression from the fragrance descriptions that "Azure Royal," although it is a unisex scent, might be too masculine for me.
Since I was lucky enough to get a sample, I could form my own opinion, and to get straight to the point... I was absolutely positively surprised, even though I am not a fan of fresh summer scents.
The fragrance starts off beautifully fruity and fresh. From the very beginning, the pear is very intense and clearly noticeable. It feels extremely authentic, juicy, crisp, and very sweet.
An enjoyable zestiness from the orange accompanies it.
However, this remains subtle in the background and plays a secondary role, as the pear is in focus and overshadows it.
As it develops further, Ambroxan joins in, giving the fragrance a slightly woody and musky note.
This ingredient also adds a fresh and aquatic nuance.
Azure Royal has a light, but by no means negative, shower gel touch,
which I find very refreshing and pleasant.
I would like to note that the mentioned similarity to Erba Pura is not understandable to me. Although both fragrances are fruity-sweet and fresh, there are no further similarities, as their scent profiles are very different.
"Azure Royal" is a very linear fragrance that hardly changes over time. The ripe, juicy pear remains in the foreground from the opening to the dry down and defines the scent.
The longevity is relatively good for a freshie. I perceive it for about 6 to 7 hours, even a bit longer on clothing.
It is a unisex fragrance with a slight tendency towards the masculine, but the sweet, ever-present pear note can also be worn very well by a woman. My initial concern that it might be too masculine for me was unfounded.
I really liked "Azure Royal | Ahmed Al Maghribi," especially because I really enjoy the already mentioned authentic pear. I find it to be a sweet, fresh-aquatic summer fragrance that you can't go wrong with.
Unfortunately, it is no longer so affordable, but if I get the chance to snag it at a good price, I will definitely secure at least one bottle.
