Simply stunning!
Im totally amazed with this one. I have/had several middle eastern brands, but none of them that give/gave the kind of vibe and quality like this. This is on my top 3 from the brand, Ignite, Laathani, and Oud & Roses (Bin Shaikh as honorable mention). For me Ignite and Laathani are far more special than Oud & Roses. But enough about that one, lets talk about this.

Scent wise, overall this is a sweet leathery scent. Tbh i really can't detect each note that listed, except for the leather. The opening is sweet, but idk the sweetness came from what notes. In the drydown the leather starts to get stronger, and the sweetness gets tamed, its so well balanced between the rubbery bitterness from the leather and the sweet notes (almost smells like fruity, but i cant be sure about that). I cant detect any oud in here despite the name, maybe the oud is too pleasant or not animalic, thats why my nose cant detect it since im used to strong animalic oud such as in Amouage's Silver Oud or Diptyque's Oud Palao.

Performance wise, this is strong, real strong, almost beast mode. I have high standard when it comes to performance, the ones that i consider beast are Arabians Tonka, Thomas Kosmala No. 4, and some more. But this is almost a beast, its more than enough for me, it lasts easily 12h on my skin, and the time-window for the projections is around 3-4h before it starts to turn moderate, but still has perceptible sillage for the next couple hours.

Quality wise, this is simply amazing. I rarely got amazed by middle eastern brands, especially the commercial ones, such as Lattafa, Afnan, and many more, because they smell cheap with low quality oil, while this brand feels like a middle eastern niche class. Almost all this brand's creations use higher oil than most commercial brands, therefore most of it have strong performance, especially their top tier creations. On Ignite, the oil concentration is more than 40%, but despite the high concentration, it still projects like crazy, and no rough edges.

That being said, this frag is surprisingly amazing even tho my nose is used to niche frags. But its not recommended for a blind buy if ure not into leathery and sweet scent. The sweetness is not overly sweet as in Khamrah tho, its still safe for me personally even tho im not into sweet scent.

The last but not least, the brand is simply amazing, so worth to explore.

Green, floral explosion
Let's start at the beginning. Packaging: To put it bluntly, it's amazing. This is honest packaging as you would want to experience it, even the box is made of wood. Bottle sits securely and stably inside 10/10

The fragrance itself starts relatively strong. You can immediately recognize where it is going. Initially, it is strongly green and floral, but after a while it becomes woody and deep, without the green notes disappearing. During the whole time, you can still smell the leather subtly at first, with the leather note becoming more intense and noticeable over time.

Of course, it doesn't come close to the Oud Maracuja, but if I were in the store I would prefer the Ignite Oud. Why? The notes harmonize wonderfully, the projection is world class, almost 50% oil content can only be achieved in the Arabian region. The bottle and the sprayer are great. And the only thing that tops it all is the price. I paid the equivalent of €25 for my copy on the foreign Amazon website. Yes, €25 and the fragrance puts everything else in the shade in terms of projection and durability.

*Ignite Oud ≠ Akoya by Gissah the two couldn't be more different.

IGNITE OUD I Oriental, green interpretation of the Oud Maracuja with brilliant performance!
I like the house of Ahmed al Maghribi more and more; after the positive surprise of the Laathani /لاثاني, the Ignite Oud also manages to inspire me! Arrived, cardboard box opened - and typically oriental, the packaging simply gives a lot again; the eye simply eats with it and the oriental fragrance houses simply do a lot right!

Now, what does the Ignite Oud smell like?
- The opening is brilliant; you get an oriental blast of leather and rose, but it is a "fresh rose" paired with dark leather. At the beginning, this fresh rose note predominates and the leather floats in the background. Somehow it almost smells fruity, although there is not a single fruit listed.

- Over the next few minutes, the leather becomes much more present and stronger, but is balanced by the spicy, slightly sweet cedar wood. Dark, earthy patchouli gently joins in the background. Slowly, a slightly green-woody side emerges from the moss, refining the fragrance and giving it its unique selling point.

- The green from the moss remains and is gently rounded off on an ambery, creamy-woody base. Don't get me wrong, the fragrance is also very "commanding" in the drydown, but becomes slightly creamier and more rounded.

- The longevity is monstrous. The fragrance lasts a very long time and is well into the top third. The projection is also brilliant; you are not only strongly perceived, but also for a long time.

- P/L is brilliant for this fragrance, especially if you buy it cheaply on holidays. Far better than alternative fragrances with which it is compared, such as Oud Maracujá and Ombre Nomade.

Now we come to the most exciting question: Is it an alternative to Oud Maracujá?
- From my point of view, yes, but it is not a dupe. The fragrances are very different. In the opening, Oud Maracujá is much fruitier, louder, more rustic. Here, Ignite Oud is much fresher with its fresh rose and subtle leather. Oud Maracujá blasts out passion fruit and leather without compromise.

- The main difference, however, is in the drydown. While the Oud Maracujá remains rather fruity, dry and leathery, this fragrance takes on a green, mossy side (not aquatic or smelly, really top-notch) and the leather is enriched with creamy vanilla. Oud Maracujá mercilessly blasts out about the same until the end, the Ignite Oud projects just as well and lasts at least as long, but just seems softer and more rounded overall.

- The price is a big difference; you can get Ignite Oud between 80-130 euros, depending on the season/promotion for 60ML, the Oud Maracujá costs between 220 - 250 euros for 50ML...

Can I recommend one or the other? Not really, I really like them both! There are differences and that's what makes them both exciting for me! What I can say, however, is that Ahmed al Maghribi is increasingly gaining my attention!

Ignite Oud blends fruity opening with smooth leather and geranium/rose. An easy oud in the base, rounded by moss and creamy sandal/vanilla.

Juicy and pungent, sweet and heavy. Opening will definitely catch your attention but the dry down, in my opinion, is superior to oud maracuja. Nucl

Children's candy necklaces and fuzzy soft suede. Linear, monotone. Good if you're really into leathers, but I found it unstimulating.
