This Kaaf is one of those mini-hype fragrances. It hasn't been enough for the big hype yet because it's quite hard to find and is only sometimes in stock and then gone again quite quickly. Of course, it is more often available at much higher prices, but I don't see the point. Now I bought one and of course it was quickly gone again. I wouldn't spend more than €50. Up to that price, you get a fragrance that can easily keep up with the usual designer quality and hits this shower gel DNA well. I can't say much about the Ahmed Al Maghribi brand. From Dubai, rather unknown and more for insiders as the big breakthrough didn't happen. In addition to this Kaaf, the
Ignite Oud is still somewhat hyped. Otherwise quite unknown, which is not a bad thing and can also be an advantage.
The fragrance comes in a pretty box with this aquatic look. The bottle also looks very aquatic-fresh with this blue tone. It feels great in the hand and the atomizer works perfectly. Of course, there are slight Dubai touches in the look here too.
In terms of scent, this perfume is clearly in the vein of
Fierce Cologne &
Percival. Foconero (Extrait de Parfum) | Tiziana Terenzi" and
Legend Eau de Parfum can also be counted as close relatives. In the fragrance scene, this DNA is of course very well known and everyone can imagine what it means. If you like this direction and performance is important to you, you can blindly order this fragrance. Even if it is similar to some, this is a fragrance in its own right, but of course these fragrances immediately spring to mind. If you don't want to spend the high price for a Percival but are still looking for a fragrance in this direction that lasts, you can go for it here. Perhaps not quite as classy as the PdM, but this DNA and this fresh, showery theme is well captured. This DNA also contains a fresh watermelon note that accompanies the aquatic freshness. These marine notes are extremely pleasing and this fragrance will go down 100% well with the masses and bring in some compliments. It's just a great overall concept, especially this top note for the first 2-3 hours is so pleasing and uncomplicated. Then there's clean musk, which gets stronger later and just supports this great clean concept. And of course sandalwood, which always goes well with these clean and fresh fragrances. All in all, a great, uncomplicated fragrance. Always wearable, especially of course in everyday situations and absolutely an all-rounder.
Performance is quite good and comes close to Percival. However, Percival has a much stronger sillage later on. This should not detract from this Kaaf, as it lasts really well and projects strongly for the first few hours. This fragrance is officially unisex, but such "shower gel fragrances" are usually worn more by men, which can also be seen here in the list of owners.
Overall, a great freshie and no-brainer for the whole year. An all-rounder that will bring many compliments and make you feel well accompanied. If you see it for a fair price, you can buy it without hesitation.
