Thundering leather oud
Ajmal Cuir is a stunning fragrance.

When you first spray it you will get a sweet, robust, dense and raw indian type of oud, accompanied by a strong leather. The oud is almost chocolatey and bitter. I get a lot of cacao and tobacco nuances. Super intense opening that can easily overwhelm the average nose, but quite exquisite for oud lovers. This will persist for at least one or two hours, but later is when the magic happens.

Once the oud settles down a beautiful bouquet of white/lilac flowers emerges clearly and I know there's no fruits declared but I can't stop thinking about cherries (it's my first time smelling this kind of florals and I was so impressed by its fruity character). Florals are enhanced by a velvety musk and leather becomes more animalic and more prominent at this point supporting this excellent musky floral accord. Of course, oud never dissapears, It just sits in the back giving a thick backbone.

When the oud dominates, it's a very complex fragrance due to the nature of real oud (I refuse to think it's synthetic). When the oud loses its primary rol I would say it's a fairly simple concoction. It's just amazing.

My only "problem" with Cuir is that oud takes too long to take a step back, so I have to spray it on me at least one hour before meeting people because I don't like to be offensive.

Ingredients and blending are top notch. Absolutely amazing. At the same level of Amir One and Two. Not for hot weather or for any occasion. Performance is beeaaast!

Love it.

PS: I think I bought the last bottle available in my country (Chile) a few months ago... 60 USD!!!... an unbelievable price for this truly hidden gem! 2018 batch by the way. Probably the first one.
