Have you powdered your nose today?
For some time now, I have been gradually reorganizing my perfume collection.
In the past, I mostly focused on the latest Western designer fragrances and became increasingly disappointed by their short longevity and uninspired uniformity.
Due to these disappointments, the Arab perfume houses have gained more and more attention.
They create very good clones of well-known Western fragrances and cost only a fraction of the price. Often, they are just as good as the original and sometimes even perform better.
There are still real gems and insider tips to be found there, which, thank God, rarely make their way into the Western world.
If you spend a little time on the web and know which fragrance direction you like, you can quickly lose track, but I gladly take on this challenge in hopes of one day making the ultimate discovery that makes my olfactory heart race.
One of the positive surprises this year comes from the Ajmal perfume house and is called Evoke Silver.
I managed to snag the 100ml bottle for < 30€ and found it easy to make a blind buy.
The scent is immediately present upon spraying, and a clear PdM Pegasus DNA unfolds.
Powdery, sweet, and skillfully smoky at the same time. A true charmer!
Cardamom, violet, and incense are likely the protagonists in Evoke.
Although the incense is not the cold, ashy church incense, but rather serves as an anti-blocking system for the otherwise opulent sweetness of violet and cardamom.
Amber and woody notes round out the composition.
Nothing feels disturbing or out of place.
A wonderfully wearable niche fragrance for sensual evenings for two.
For the price, it's actually a must buy!
With 7-8 hours of longevity, Evoke is not a beast, but certainly satisfactory.
The sillage is not overwhelming, but well noticeable by those around you in the first 2-3 hours.
