Spicy roses
Wisal is a wonderful blend of roses, spices and woods.

Opens with a beautiful floral bouquet with some tiny musk note and then develops to a fresh and sweet roses heart with a touch of spices. The opening notes may smell a little medicinal to someone, maybe there's an oud note there, despite not listed.

The base is woody and has some hints of musk. The rose is still there, fresh and sweet in the right amount to my nose.

Wisal is a wonderful floral fragrance that's unissex in my opinion.

Wisal remembers me of many Montale fragrances, specially Aoud Amber Rose. In the drydown it reminds me of Micallef Aoud Rose, but Wisal is heavier and less sweet.

Definately a great choice. Niche level for sure.

Sillage, projection and lasting power are great - it lasts around 8/10 hours easily with a good projection.

Spicy-Warm Rose in a Container of Horror
When I first held Wisal in my hand, I hardly dared to spray the fragrance, given the container from outer space - what if the contents smelled just as bizarre? Bottles of Arabic perfumes are often - to put it cautiously - too opulent and playful for European tastes, but this piece here… I’d rather keep silent about it. After all, it’s all about the scent.

And despite the low expectations, it performs very well on my skin. Roses, entire bushes of dark red, fully bloomed roses spread in my nose, directly accompanied by a very gentle, slightly sweet spiciness and soft, warm woods. I can’t for the life of me identify which spices and woods are involved, but this combination of the clear, almost slightly fresh rose scent with the grounding elements seems very successful and absolutely harmonious, while being completely suitable for European olfactory habits.

Wisal does not undergo any development on my skin. Roses, spices, and woods are present from the very beginning and do not change significantly until the end, where they are slowly replaced by a beautiful musk base. The scent lasts easily all day without needing a re-spray and seems to emit quite a strong trail even with a moderate application, as my colleagues have assured me. Throughout, it is perceived as very pleasant - direct quote: what smells so good on you?

Wisal is not complicated, not cerebral, and not particularly refined. However, anyone looking for a flattering, always and everywhere wearable, spicy-warm rose scent who is not deterred by the bottle will be very well served with Wisal.

Last-Minute Blind Purchase
I have to say, I love this community here, among other reasons:
On my way to summer vacation, I was browsing through the Duty Free shop, which had a huge bin of sale items set up, and in this bin, I found an interesting packaging from a perfume brand I didn't know: Ajmal. Unfortunately, no testers were to be found anywhere.
I usually find Arabic perfumes interesting due to the often lavish use of oud and/or roses, but when you have no idea what you’re holding, you do the only sensible thing: a quick check on Parfumo!
30 minutes before boarding, I was already feeling a bit pressured (travel stresses me...), so I could only skim through the reviews, but what I read appealed to me, and for €29.90, I could take the "blind purchase risk."
Upon arriving at my vacation destination, I freed the incredibly ugly bottle from its packaging (I’m into kitsch, but this is a bit much even for me...) and sprayed it on my inner elbow.
What I smelled, I liked right away: Rose (a lot of it, and the really big ones with dark red blooms), spices (I think I can smell cloves), a bit of smoke, and something fresh that I can't quite place, maybe bergamot?
The fragrance doesn’t develop particularly uniquely on me, but I find that okay since I like it in its complete composition.
The longevity is fantastic; a careful spritz is still slightly noticeable after a shower and a night’s sleep, which is more than can be said for some pricier counterparts.
Not really suitable for summer, and if it is, then only in the evening. I will wear it more in early autumn and winter.

So, my thanks go to the reviewers and statement writers before me, as this allowed me to acquire a great fragrance that I probably would never have bought otherwise.

Oriental Spice Rose
Wisal by Ajmal was once again an inexpensive blind buy for me. I purchased a full 50 ml bottle along with the box from a private seller for little money. If I hadn't liked it, it wouldn't have been a big loss.

Overall, the scent is rather compact and does not undergo significant development, but that can be quite nice sometimes. I’ll try to describe it:
Wisal resides in a kitschy silver bottle and is a lush oriental-spicy rose fragrance.
It starts off with a slightly peppery note and quickly transitions into a dark spiciness.
This spiciness is paired with dark red, velvety, luscious roses. Oud is certainly present (even if synthetic), giving the fragrance a slight smokiness, but it’s rather subtle. I don’t like it too smoky anyway. There are also slight woody undertones. I can't identify any other flowers. It finishes with a subtle musk note that is very pleasant.
It has a very warm and spicy aura, distinctly oriental.
Longevity and sillage are very good and in the height of summer, almost too much. Now in September, it is much more wearable.
It could appeal to those who also enjoy Yves Rocher's Rose Oud.

I certainly do not regret the purchase.

The Shine of Silver
Rose with a spicy note immediately rises to my nose after spraying. It tingles slightly and lasts no longer than 15 seconds like this. Soon, a bouquet of flowers joins in, indeterminate which kind the beautiful blooms are. As if they had been finely ground in a mortar and mixed with the spicy rose juice. Over time, a slightly masculine note is added, but really only minimally, so that the fragrance gains a bit of freshness and in exchange gives up some of the rose. Not a loss but a successful strategy that distinguishes it from its rather fruity-floral golden counterpart, Wisal Dhahab. This twist makes Wisal absolutely unisex, as it does have a floral aspect, but the fresh, somewhat cologne-like note tempers it a bit. Once the fragrance has transformed from spicy rose water to a unisex dream elixir after about 5 minutes, it is still not over. A slightly animalistic note lays over it and wonderfully supports the masculine touch. This musk unites everything into a soft, seductive, and also refined fragrance that has an extremely long-lasting presence and should be applied in moderation. Only then can the individual notes develop beautifully and reveal their potential. Wisal invites you to lean back and dream just as much as it does to work or go out. Personally, I find it extremely pleasant for everyday wear when I don't want to smell specifically like a certain flower or simply need something completely different for a change from what usually accompanies me throughout the day. Wisal is special, comes across as very high-quality, yet is affordable. Due to its quality, it could also be offered at a much higher price or be categorized as exclusive. With Wisal, I have once again added a fragrance to my collection that, while it doesn't lead me to adventurous stories, captivates and excites me in the most pleasant way with its facets. I would classify its scent character similarly to Midnight in Paris by Van Cleef & Arpels (2010), which I referred to in my previous comment as a "border-being." Both fragrances dance on their journey with us, sometimes on this side and sometimes on the other side of the border, without wanting to commit. While they are not identical in notes, they can still possess a similar essence. Like two compatible zodiac signs. And because of this, they are exciting, very adaptable, and thus fit many skin chemistries or wearer types. However, these fragrances are often not perceived precisely because of their transformation, as they adapt individually and very personally to their wearer. And that, in turn, makes them something special, unique, and desirable for a collection.
Not everything that glitters is gold.
Here it is silver.

Roses and musk with faint floral and spicy notes, but the story is of roses and musk. Soft silage but excellent longevity. For rose lovers.

Soapy and heavy rose, a great paradox. I, who usually doesn't like rose, love this scent. H/S quite good without being beastly.
