Amber Wood Ajmal 2014 Eau de Parfum

Let me first say this is not similar in any way to Layton, one common thing however, both are KINGS!
This is a must try for all amber lovers, and non-amber fans too! can't dislike this one...

SCENT:
Gorgeous woody amber scent, very unique, very sexy, not daring, can't be over-sprayed, more masculine, Sillage and Longevity are around average, doesn't change much on dry down.

VERSATILITY:
Versatile, however perfect for cold season date nights, very sexy!

This is a wonderful, wonderful amber wood, blended to perfection, rich and luxurious. Great sillage and projection. Nothing synthetic about it although I may have some blindspots because it also has a suspiciously good staying power. No competing facets, all notes are in perfect harmony with each other. In my opinion, this is what every perfume should be in terms of composition. A masterpiece.

One word to describe Amber Wood: sexy. This one may not be a niche fragrance in terms of ingredients, but it is in terms of uniqueness. Its not daring, its not very complex, but as soon as you spray it, you know that this is one of a kind. The amber is gorgeous and addictive. Don't sleep on this one. Try it at least. The performance could be better on my skin, but the smell makes me forgive any flaw. Love this one.

The fragrance name and notes are extremely misleading. I expected an ambery woody experience, but what I got was an ambery / spicy opening that relatively quickly fades into a dry, dusty, earthy patchouli. Nonetheless, I do enjoy it, but this is neither ambery or woody, at least for me. On my skin, patchouli is the star of the fragrance.

The perfect amount of sweetness, creaminess, woodiness, smokiness and a nice full bodied ambery core. You can overspray it if you want and it never gets annoying. It' just so good. I've never smelled anything like it.

I understand that the scent profile is dark and intriguing, which is directly related to the soft projection that makes it perfect for closer encounters. If it were louder could be invasive. But honestly, I wish if it had a bit more projection because is just too soft. After one hour or so it's inoffensive.

It's an EDP but is not that oily like many other arabic fragrances from my collection. The perfume concentration is low which is sad.

Amber Wood with better performance would be a 10/10.
