one of my favourite chypre

first,russian musk 2 starts with a animalic opening and i do get a sweet-fruity maybe minty-piney kinda smell(i absolutely love this opening).after 1-2 hour the animalic smell slows down but the animalic note is done beautifully like every other perfume from Mr Russian Adam.

Then this sweet-fruity smell comes probably from the orange blossom and the orange.Later it gets to this gorgeous oakmoss sandalwood smell.However,the patchouli and vetiver is not there for me

Overall,I would recommend trying russian musk 2.Sampling it even full bottle worthy.

Russian Musk II : pines, fruits and musk

I enjoyed this, bare in mind I was applying it and spilt it all over myself, it’s pungent stuff…
A radiant impression, Siberian fir present? Seems a little light for that. A testament to Russian naturals, RMII is composed of a coniferous, softened deer musk, a lavish chypre, manly stuff :) It begins with a gushing citrus complimentary, a presiding tangerine. It changes slightly, into a maintained, much more maintained grainy perfume, consisting of its tamed musk as the dominant.

After letting my bottle breathe in a little air, I must say…it smells more beautiful than the first spray. I will be wearing this more often. Seems suitable to wear year round. At least that’s my plan.

Russian Musk II has facets of Mitsouko Eau de Toilette, Habit Rouge Édition Limitée 2001 and Diaghilev Parfum. As soon as I smelled this, I was reminded of Diaghilev without the peach accord and a less lemony Habit Rouge.

I’m comparing all four and they definitely remind me of one another. With that being said, it’s still an awesome fragrance.

RM has great longevity and sillage is above average. This is beautifully crafted and made of impeccable materials.

Many memories and (false) expectations...

Hello everyone,

today I would like to talk about the Russian Musk II.

It will rather be something general + worth knowing!
Short facts:

- great ingredients
- terrific development
- extreme fine-tuning
- great H/S
- absolutely TEST!

Now something general + worth knowing!

I have known the fragrance since 2021 and also its creator (besides Russian Adam) the Russian Musk Extrait de Parfum, but this is not the subject here.

I have tested the Russian Musk II x times and the absolute spark of enthusiasm was never really ignited, but recently yes and finally I am ready (^^) to tell you something about it.

He has so many facets, it's soon frightening..., in terms of pure development, he's one of the best I've met so far. It starts like a sauna infusion - in the sense of the pine and some citric notes. As far as the pure first stage is concerned, it is relatively similar to Siberian Musk III, BUT Russian Musk II is much tamer and less animalic - urinally sharp.

And the false expectations. At first it repelled and put me off, because I was and still am not a fan of a certain animalic quality and smelling like urine...., I don't know, I don't think it's that cool now - but to each his own.

Of course, you will find animalic notes here, like the deer musk, but I find it really acceptable and rather minimal and very easy to endure, which in my opinion distinguishes it from Siberian Musk III!

Then comes the orange blossom and one is somehow surprised, because suddenly it becomes a bit pleasantly fresh for x - xx minutes, then the very prominent sandalwood comes to bear and wraps around the citric - fresh to a kind of citric creaminess - who can imagine nothing under it - Uden and Allure Homme Édition Blanche Eau de Parfum those are ONLY a clue to the effect of this!
Shortly before the drydown ends, I increasingly get the feeling of cognac or whisky, but expensive and high-quality ones. Possibly comes from the oakmoss, nutmeg, sandalwood and some resins, but mega exciting.

Then, after 5 hours or more, there is another very, very great phase, which reminds me of the pure Chanel of the day before yesterday, oakmoss, patch, rose, some resins and the rest of the creaminess of the sandalwood = WOW!
I feel at home, safe and very close to my grandparents again... = thank you for that!
(It gives me this vibe!)

It is wearable for ALD fragrances, BUT please spray discreetly! One too many can ruin everything!
