After letting my bottle breathe in a little air, I must say…it smells more beautiful than the first spray. I will be wearing this more often. Seems suitable to wear year round. At least that’s my plan.

Russian Musk II has facets of Mitsouko Eau de Toilette, Habit Rouge Édition Limitée 2001 and Diaghilev Parfum. As soon as I smelled this, I was reminded of Diaghilev without the peach accord and a less lemony Habit Rouge.

I’m comparing all four and they definitely remind me of one another. With that being said, it’s still an awesome fragrance.

RM has great longevity and sillage is above average. This is beautifully crafted and made of impeccable materials.

one of my favourite chypre

first,russian musk 2 starts with a animalic opening and i do get a sweet-fruity maybe minty-piney kinda smell(i absolutely love this opening).after 1-2 hour the animalic smell slows down but the animalic note is done beautifully like every other perfume from Mr Russian Adam.

Then this sweet-fruity smell comes probably from the orange blossom and the orange.Later it gets to this gorgeous oakmoss sandalwood smell.However,the patchouli and vetiver is not there for me

Overall,I would recommend trying russian musk 2.Sampling it even full bottle worthy.

Russian Musk II : pines, fruits and musk

I enjoyed this, bare in mind I was applying it and spilt it all over myself, it’s pungent stuff…
A radiant impression, Siberian fir present? Seems a little light for that. A testament to Russian naturals, RMII is composed of a coniferous, softened deer musk, a lavish chypre, manly stuff :) It begins with a gushing citrus complimentary, a presiding tangerine. It changes slightly, into a maintained, much more maintained grainy perfume, consisting of its tamed musk as the dominant.

The Chypre scent of a Viking in white furs.

Oh, how lovely and beautiful!

A musky citrus start with a light, moist saltiness of sandalwood (which quickly fades) and dusty, not sweet pine needles. Spices are added almost instantly, with cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves clearly audible. For a moment, there is a hint of rose, but this mirage quickly disappears, and if anything remains of the rose, it is a very light powderiness, which, combined with moss, gives an interesting dustiness.

There is little sweetness here, so I consider the perfume to be brutal. I imagine a big Viking with white skins and furs on his shoulders, walking through the city and simply humiliating passers-by with his gaze and testosterone scent.

At the same time, it is a fairly elegant fragrance that would be suitable for theater evenings or antique exhibitions, but strictly for men.
There is a very beautiful musk here, it tickles the nostrils, but it is not too diffuse to feel like you have opened a jar of nail polish. The musk here has the smell of animal wool, spicy, beautiful, restrained. Returning to the sweetness, there are tonka beans here, but I don't feel their sweetness, most likely because there is a very small dose of them here. For me, the sweetness here comes from citrus fruits.
There is also a slightly smoky oud, and the amber seems to be the same as in War and Peace, only there is 5-10 times less of it here. Something here gives off the scent of a church or church candles, which, combined with the pine, sounds simply incredible.

Pine needles, musk, spices, oud, and moss are noticeable throughout. A wonderful fragrance for going out for a walk or for events.

The night was cold and had draped the valley in a veil of mist and frost.

The first rays of sunlight cast long shadows over the mountain panorama.

His supplies were running low. A bit of beaver fat, mountain herbs, and dried meat.

He had been tracking the animal for days. It was the largest twelve-pointer he had ever seen in this pass.

His shot had only grazed its target due to the fierce drop in altitude.

The injured animal had been strong
enough to flee for another 12 hours through the barren and steep mountain landscape.

Now the steps were getting shorter and the blood trail larger.

Another two hours of hiking lay behind him when he suddenly stopped. He caught that unmistakable scent. Much more intense than he had known from other hunts, but he knew deep down that his search would end here.

In a clearing, deep in the coniferous forest, lay the massive stag, collapsed and powerless.

He was panting and completely exhausted.

It was the hunter's duty to free the animal from its suffering.

The closer he got to the clearing, the stronger the scent became that accompanied the moment.

Now he stood there. His prey, his goal lying before him. On the edge of life. He paused for a moment as something within him became restless.

What his eyes could not see, his nose had immediately sensed nearby.

People would later say he knew the Sayang Mountains and its inhabitants well and understood what awaited him now, but still, the deadly attack came unexpectedly…

Citrics and fir in the opening. The musk with the sweetness and the creamy woods remember me of animalic honey. Cinnamon, tonka and oakmoss.
