Odyssey Candee Armaf 2024

This is an extremely artificial scent. Probably the worst in my very large collection, which is shocking to me honestly cuz I’ve come across a bunch of stinky stuff over the years lol. It really is identical to a car air freshener but smells as if it was intensified by the heat of the car. I really looked forward to this one because I love its aerosol body spray form. I’m sad they aren’t even a little bit similar. It stinks so bad I’m going to toss it instead of giving it to my daughter. I don’t want to ever smell this again. lol

I sit in my town on the marketplace in the sun and enjoy the day. The waiter brings me my ordered spaghetti ice cream. I relish the afternoon in the blazing summer sun. And I am simply happy.

Suddenly, I hear voices. My name is being called. I wake up and find myself in the office. I am enveloped by the scent of a mixture of spaghetti ice cream and strawberry cake. My colleague stands in front of me and gives me even more work.

I am glad that the scent has taken me away for half an hour and that the end of the workday is drawing nearer.

A great summer fragrance that brings you summer vibes throughout the rest of the year and transports you to the beach, the café, or the ice cream parlor.

When I hear Candy, I think of sweet fragrances that often come across as shrill and cheap. These scents have never convinced me, except for the one from Prada. Even though I do like sweet fragrances. In short, I am a fan of the Odyssey line and I like the bottle because it is simply different. Now to the scent: it is sweet but also fresh and becomes even fresher. I really smell the passion fruit and patchouli, along with something sweet and powdery. I find the scent really beautiful and suitable even in hot temperatures. Then there comes a slightly soapy note that is neither old-fashioned nor disturbing, even though I usually don't like such things; I find this clean and pleasant.

This is my first fragrance from Armaf and I was skeptical about what to expect. Admittedly, the bottle seemed somewhat cheap to me and didn't blow me away, but I found it on sale and whenever "Candy" is mentioned, I get curious. After the Yara Candy disappointment from Lattafa, I hoped for more here.

This is not a squeaky sweet candy scent for me. Quite the opposite of what I expected. And yet, it is really well done. I spray it and it is so strong and present, right there and has my full attention. I can't describe it. It is slightly sweet and elegant, not in the edible direction like candies.

It is not just boringly fruity; it has depth and is very well blended. I don't smell certain fruits at all, even though they are listed in the pyramid. I suspect it is the patchouli that gives it that certain edge. It feels more like a fragrance for going out in the evening; it is not light but heavy, without being overwhelming. Still, I think it is not too specific and will surely appeal to many. Caramel is also not distinctly prominent, subtly underpinning the whole.

It reminds me of a designer fragrance, but I don't know which one. At least it smells quite high-quality.

I am glad to have it in my collection; I think it will suit a confident, established woman who emphasizes her femininity.
