The Scent of the Bedroom?
With Nacre Blanche by Antonio Alessandria, I once again come across a fragrance that I really hadn't heard anything about until now. Okay, I haven't been to perfume stores much lately, especially ones that sell niche fragrances. So I definitely need to sniff more of these scents that you don't just see lying around everywhere.

Otherwise, something happens that has been happening to me repeatedly lately: I get completely overwhelmed by the selection in niche perfume stores and have no idea what to even test. Even though I love trying fragrances, I really feel overwhelmed... well, but over time, that will surely get better. So if you thought you would soon be rid of me here, you were greatly mistaken, mu ha ha ha :D

So, according to the description, this scent is supposed to smell like tuberoses, with their fragrance wafting in through the open window and eventually mixing with the scents of the bedroom. The question is, of course, what does such a bedroom smell like? Like (fresh) bed linen? Like dirty clothes because one (man) has once again carelessly left them lying around? Or more like sweaty bodies that have resulted from certain... uh... let's say "amorous activities"?

Well, I will surely find out soon... I mean, of course, how the scent smells, ... not the "amorous activities"... *sigh* :DD

The Scent:
Wow, the opening is spicy, floral, and sweet. Although there's a citrus note detectable right at the start, it quickly fades away; however, these fruits seem to flash back occasionally during the scent's development. Even though there's a bit of coriander in there, the opening smells really great, and besides that, the coriander is quite weak anyway. I smell pepper among the spicy notes, which is strong but somehow comes across as gentler than usual, giving the fragrance a lovely, spicy note. Additionally, I can already smell a bit of sandalwood.
As described, I also smell sweet flowers like tuberoses and jasmine quite intensely, with the tuberoses being the more intense flowers. Ylang-ylang seems to be the weaker note among them, as otherwise, the scent would have come across as more stuffy.
After a few minutes, the leather appears, which is actually the only note here that doesn't appeal to me that much, but it's still bearable for me. It doesn't smell bad; I'm just not a huge fan of leather.
Despite a somewhat rough start, the fragrance becomes softer in the base, even though it remains somewhat spicy. Because typical base notes like vanilla and other soft fragrance notes like resins and sandalwood come into play now, making the scent smell wonderful. It remains sweet and floral, of course, even quite intense. The leather is still detectable for quite a while, but it's not overly intrusive if you don't like that too much; it's dosed about as much as the pepper. However, the leather becomes softer in the later base, and the scent, combined with vanilla and other soft and sweet notes, smells pretty amazing!
Overall, a beautiful, sexy fragrance!

The Sillage and Longevity:
The projection is quite good. Especially at the beginning, it could be room-filling with generous spraying. It clings quite well for a long time and is thus detectable for a long time.
This also means that the longevity is very long, and you can definitely smell the fragrance for more than twelve hours.

The Bottle:
The bottle is rectangular but slightly slants upward on all sides like an inverted trapezium. The glass is white and moderately translucent, with a narrow but long gold label on the front displaying the name and logo. The cap is square and also gold-plated. A beautiful bottle that looks solid yet elegant.

Okay,... first of all: The scent does not smell like an "amorous activity," unless you associate the scent of leather with the scent of bare skin... since the leather becomes softer over time, so nice and soft and... oh, I'm digressing! :D
However, the scent also comes across as a bit fiery (especially at the beginning), wild, really arrrrrrrrrrrrr, oh you know what I mean! :DD

I think this fragrance has a really great, sexy aura and is thus a fantastic going-out scent. Admittedly, I could have done without the leather note at first, but it's not that bad, quite the opposite, because later in the base, the scent becomes really, really great!

In any case, it's worth a try if you're looking for something nice for the evening! Something that doesn't just smell extremely sweet as is often the case, but also exudes a certain class, a certain sexy elegance. Something that invites you to... um... cuddle and so on. In that sense, I wish you all a lovely Valentine's Day!

And again one of those scents....
I grew up with the smell of leather. Even as a 4-year-old, I rode my little bike to the nearby horse pastures and admired the proud animals until a few years later when I was allowed to learn to ride. Day in and day out, I was surrounded by the scent of leather: saddles, leather boots, bridles, harnesses. And even today, it’s still the same. I love this scent. It’s part of my life.
But I never would have thought that I could find perfumes that smell like leather appealing. This scent surrounds me for most of my free time, but I never imagined I would spray it on my skin.
Recently, I have discovered leather fragrances for myself. Now, not every leather scent is the same and appeals to me. Sometimes it’s too leathery, harsh, and more suited for the male faction, then again too sweet and flowery.
With "Nacre Blanche," the first test was rather modest: Well, where is it? But what can you expect from a test on a paper strip?
"Nacre Blanche" needs skin to unfold, like any perfume, but this one needs it a bit more than others because it only shows its true face and a very beautiful one at that when on the skin.
The opening is fresh-floral, but the leather comes through quite quickly, nestled in a delicate floral scent that never becomes overwhelming. And that’s exactly what I find so great about this fragrance. This light, bright leather note is absolutely suitable for everyday wear because it doesn’t stand out too strongly. Noble and beautiful and super sexy.
I have once again found a scent that I initially dismissed with a shrug, but which has now captured my heart and my nose, a scent that I hadn’t planned on at all.

Can also be 'Winter'!
Nacre Blanche doesn't beat around the bush and immediately offers a full dose of white florals, exquisitely bitter with petitgrain. The otherwise mentioned citrus notes are mere accessories. Great, too much acidity would have been distracting.

The tuberose is quite sweet. Within a few minutes, it is complemented by leather from a patchouli source. Rough, but by no means harsh, rather noble. Along with spices: coriander makes sense; the leaf as well - the scent indeed has a subtle green undertone.

But then: Not even ten minutes have passed when Nacre Blanche shows that despite its floral declaration, which could qualify it for warmer days, it can also do 'Winter' very well. And I mean really well. Throat lozenge violet leather, roughened patchouli, subtly benzoin-resinous. Underneath, a lovely portion of refreshing green remains; no longer just coriander-spicy, but rather almost grassy. I am pleasantly surprised.

Already during the first half hour, the tuberose note swims free again, holding on to the bitter orange for support. It thankfully lacks that soft cheese note that I often perceive in stronger expressions. Its absence could lead to a certain character weakness. However, in this case, the leather helps alongside the bitter orange. I find this combination of a more orange than tuberose-like tuberose and throat lozenge, gently spiced leather, which gains in nobility over the course of the first hour, simply strong. A faint hint of vanilla is already noticeable, not too sweet, it just rounds things off nicely.

From the projection, the fresh green disappears after about an hour, but an impression of it remains impeccably present on the skin. Coriander green may still fit. Also violet leaf? The impressions blur. Not into an indefinable mélange, but wonderfully gliding back and forth: Green - Maybe violet - Violet - Leather - Tuberose - Bitter orange.

During the second hour, Nacre Blanche - I can hardly believe it - becomes for me a completely obvious, botanical (due to its origin; see above) leather scent. The rest is called upon for supplementary tasks, yet remains indispensable. A scratchy overtone keeps the leather interesting. Fantastic. The only downside is now the anxious question of whether Nacre Blanche can maintain this level.

Two hours.
Three hours.
Three and a half hours…
Three and three-quarters hours… Ziiiiiieeeeeeeeeh!

It cannot be denied, the scent is already significantly weakening. I was certainly too sparing with the application (*hope*), two tiny drops from the dabber tube. A second test day is needed for clarification.

Yes! The distinctive leather can linger longer. It loses the fruity aspect around noon, but in generous compensation, it becomes smokier, harsher, creakier, tarrier. In style, more in the direction of (only the direction!) Knize Ten. I like that just as much. Especially since a sense of airiness always remains on board. The scent holds fairly stable into the seventh, eighth hour and even surprises at the end with one last surprise: Directly on the skin, the bitter orange-tuberose duo comes through hand in hand with the throat lozenge leather once more: They both want to bid farewell under the falling curtain! A beautiful conclusion that - applause, applause, applause!!! - echoes even beyond the tenth hour.

Conclusion: Who would have thought it? Strong recommendation for testing for all those who are fed up with berry fruits in leather scents but can handle a successful dose of florals. And who also appreciate a hefty scoop of leather. And finally, for a single gentleman who (since we shouldn't take the above classification too seriously) supposedly always has an open nose for gentleman-appropriate scents with tuberose.

A beautiful interpretation of tuberose, with a floral-sweet opening and a very pleasant leather note in the base. Elegant and well-balanced.

A powerful white floral burst, balanced by resins, woods, and spices. A fine leather note blends in beautifully.

Tuberose overload. This is mainly about tuberose with some ylang-ylang, which makes the scent creamier. As for the other notes ...

Citrusy + consistently sweet. Aquatic (mandarin/tangerine) + white flowers. "Greenish" leather, smoky, strange + oddly oppressive. Not for me.

Pure floral vest, where the base notes completely get overshadowed. Many thanks to BelaKiss and X57deadsoulx for the sample.
