Bijou pour Homme Review
It's a pretty good fragrance for Avon's standards. I got that bottle last year in April and I started to write some reviews in September they got nowhere and I felt like I was talking to no one all that time. When I tried it back then I really liked it. I thought that this combination of sweetness and spices was the top tier when it comes to perfumery but later I discovered more and more releases that made me forgot about this one.
So, this is a sweet and spicy fragrance that is manly about these florals combined with the cordamom. In many ways I compared it to Poseidon Gold but just for the fact that they present the same accords but in a different way. It's a bit synthetic but nut by much. The rubarb I can't detect it in the opening and it's pretty neat. The late drydown it's not that clear.
The projection is too strong, a full one in a open space. It's because of the spicy stuff. I applied it in one morning and it got me sick for a few hours for how strong it is.
The longevity is for about 6 hours but it didn't timed it, it's one of those that rea pretty strong but not enough like Sun-Gria or Pax by Lorenzo Pazzaglia, they're not the same.
The bottle it's pretty neat with the sharp shapes towards the bottom but the full shape it's boring. The cap is a rubbery plastic and the atomizer a cheap one, like the other ones from Avon. It does the job but there is no control. I have still the bottle of Diavolo and that one has a really good one and it's also a cheap one, a bit old, being from the 90s, but it can be done.
So, this one it's not that different from the ones that I've sampled in the last few years but spice combination with the flowers has a uniqueness that I really appreciate. The downside is a cheap presentation, some synthetic qualities and too much strenght.
