affordable Azuree Soleil
Today, I sprayed Estee Lauder Azuree Soleil on one arm and Avon Tahitian Holiday on the other. If I'd had someone else to do the spraying for me while I closed my eyes, I am not sure I could have told them apart!

They have a big beachy smell - warm sand and gardenia-based suntan oil and coconut. Both are still noticeable up close at 7 hours and counting. While they're sweet and contain Big White Flowers (my trickiest category), they're smooth and tranquil without the diva-esque quality BWFs often have to my nose. At times throughout the day one or the other smelled a bit stronger or sharper, but the overall effect and wear was the same.

Both scents are discontinued. But on US eBay, AS is rare and starts at $100/bottle. TH is plentiful and starts at $10/bottle. (Note that Azuree Soleil was a limited edition launched in 2007. Estee Lauder replaced it with the similar Bronze Goddess Eau Fraiche Skinscent in 2008, the same year that Avon launched Tahitian Holiday.) Sometimes you get what you pay for. Luckily, sometimes you get more!

Coconut in Beauty
I am absolutely not a fan of gourmand fragrances, and scents that contain coconut usually tend to fall into that category. But I really wanted a coconut scent and ultimately ended up with Tahitian Holiday, as the low price made the blind purchase a low-risk endeavor.
And I must say, this blind purchase was a success! I cannot confirm the piña colada note, as that is sweet. Tahitian Holiday is not. It is fresh in the opening, very pleasant for a summer fragrance, and then comes the wonderfully unsweet coconut. I share Lia's associations: summer dresses, flip-flops, and off into the hustle and bustle!

Holidays here I come!
Great scent for vacation, sun, beach, and cocktail bar in the evening. Lots of coconut and Tiare. Some resemblance to Bronze Goddess by E.L. but incredibly cheap and still fantastic. Not a vacation scent that is just fresh and
lemony, a bit heavier but with a Hawaiian vibe. So slip on the flip-flops and off to beach volleyball.

Coconut, Cocktail, Raffaelo
After spraying, it has an intense cocktail scent, which then fades to a pleasant coconut and vacation aroma. Once that dissipates, a delicious fragrance reminiscent of Raffaelo chocolates lingers.
It is a perfect scent for summer, evoking a feeling of vacation, relaxing and making you happy.
I can only recommend it, an absolute feel-good fragrance!

Cocktail??
I was actually looking for a lovely Monoi-Tiaré Tahiti scent. I wanted to transport myself to an island now and then and dance the hula. Unfortunately, this one smells absolutely like PINA COLADA to me, and that always makes me feel sick. What a shame...

Pineapple - coconut - sugar, a bit aquatic. Beach Walk in sweet.

Light coconut-tiare scent (coconut dominates) that isn’t overpowering and still brings a hint of South Sea vibes. :-)

For me, very floral, with a light, certain sweetness that doesn't come from coconut milk, as that's completely missing. Quite synthetic.
