For True "Ladies"
Anyone who knows me from "Parfumo" will know that I like "robust" chypres, scents with wood and incense, and I tend to prefer the more austere direction. That's why I "traded" for Azzaro pour Elle. Of course, in the hope of finding such a "representative" for myself.
During testing, I realized that I had fallen into a misconception. Because... the scent is very, very floral on my skin. The lily stands out particularly, along with a bit of rose, and it's quite sweet in my opinion. For those who enjoy that, it’s probably a great fragrance. But MY personal preferences are not met. At the very end of the floral display, incense and woods come into play. Also "spicy" cardamom, which I like. The longevity and sillage are very good. However, regarding the (well-made) scent and the representatives of the female gender: It is a perfume for true ladies. Those who prefer the feminine and also enjoy wearing elegant fashion.
I myself am more of the "austere" type, who exclusively wears pants and sweaters/shirts and t-shirts. And therefore, this scent doesn’t quite suit me.

Beautiful adult scent for winter....
The Azzaro label was certainly known to me, but until now I hadn't really delved into the women's fragrances from Azzaro. That is changing right now, and it absolutely makes me crave more! Recently, "Azzaro pour Elle" joined my collection, and I was somewhat surprised when I held the pretty heavy glass bottle in my hands; while the scent isn't quite as elegant as the bottle suggests, it certainly makes a damn good effort. Upon the first sniff, I catch a lovely combination of rich cardamom and citrusy, bright fruits. It's an opening that feels good when it's cold and dark outside, and you come in from the chill to something delicious wafting towards you. I perceive this opening as warm-spicy, slightly bitter, in other words, very pleasant and full-bodied. The longer time passes, the more the spiciness transitions into a gentle, quiet but subtle sweetness - since I don't like sweet scents at all, I'm even more surprised that I can't keep my nose away from my wrist ;-) It probably has to do with the fact that this sweetness doesn't come across as sticky sugary, but rather deep, almost balsamic, and in any case, mature, profound, and not at all generic! It may be the rose-lily blend in the heart note that brings a slight floral aspect...but not in a prominent way, rather very subtle and still with a bitter background. Again, I'm amazed, because I don't particularly like roses or lilies, but here the blend is brilliantly done and, above all, it integrates very harmoniously into the overall picture of the fragrance. Azzaro pour Elle is a very adult scent; it calls for a wearer who knows what she wants and radiates that with every pore. I envision a lady in a black pantsuit with chic flat shoes, who astonishes the guys in the conference with her tough, professional demeanor, who doesn't need to play frivolously with her feminine attributes, because she scores with knowledge, eloquence, self-confidence, and grandeur, and this scent crowns it all as a matter of course, it’s like the dot over the "i"! The finish also perfectly matches with a beautiful portion of incense, which I love and is used far too rarely in women's fragrances, in a wonderfully presented combination with warm soft cashmere wood! This Azzaro is completely coherent, it has a beautiful progression that you can confidently embrace, as it holds only beauty! It will accompany me through the winter, which I actually hate, as I detest cold and darkness, but I believe this Azzaro will be a faithful companion through this dark season.

"Schek Rassel" Terrier with a Scent Taste...
A few times a week, I pass by a residential house, part of the property is used commercially, separated by a high metal fence. On the residential side, a Jack Russell Terrier occasionally sits at the gate (“small Schek Rassel puppies for adoption” - was once posted on the bulletin board at Edeka years ago, it took a while for Mr. Pluto and me to get the joke, but then we couldn't stop laughing. Unfortunately, I only had a phone for calling back then). He watches who walks by, barks at dogs he doesn't like, and loves to act tough, typical Terrier. I'm quite a dog lover, a friend even calls me Aunt Pedigreepal... so I spoke to the little barker. Since then, Lucky and I have become good friends; a few meters before the gate, I whistle softly, and if he’s outside, he comes running with a wagging tail. He sits right up against the metal fence, where there’s a larger gap. He lets me scratch his belly through the gap, turns around after a while so the other side can be scratched too. He growls softly, like Rottweilers do when they feel comfortable. This seems a bit irritating to some. This goes back and forth 4 to 5 times until I say goodbye, Lucky. Then he immediately turns around, disappears from my sight, and runs behind the house. This has been going on for more than a year. Recently, he sniffed extensively at my wrist, licked briefly over the back of my hand (which he has never done before), howled softly, and stayed sitting when I left. This happened twice more, and I noticed that every time he sniffed extensively, I was wearing Azzaro pour Elle, my current favorite, Lucky has taste.

Azzaro pour Elle starts off rather fruity than citrusy. The citrus fruits here are primarily juicy, fruity-sweet oranges. The scent is fresh but not overwhelmingly fresh, rather warm and showered - without an ice water splash. I don't perceive the indicated cardamom. From the very beginning, Azzaro is spicy, delicately balsamic-spicy; maybe cardamom does play a role after all? The spiciness is underlined by roses that smell increasingly creamy. Here, Azzaro is classified as powdery; for me, it lacks the dusty aspect, I think more of a high-quality body cream. I suspect that the cashmere wood is responsible for this; I cannot detect incense, even after wearing it multiple times. Here, Azzaro is classified as a Chypre. Since I like it very much, that could be :o) But I would classify it more as floriental.

Longevity and sillage are average; the sillage could be stronger for me. The glass bottle is heavy, elegant, yet easy to handle. Azzaro develops best on me in warmer temperatures, then it unfolds its entire magic. For me, a completely successful blind buy, and I actually think it’s quite good that it has received little attention here so far, so it remains entirely for me.

The fruity kickoff quickly falls in love, and the Sanso lamb soon dares to snuggle up on the softened cashmere sweater. Cuddly beautiful!

Starts sparkling-fresh with citrus fruits, then beautifully floral-fresh with rose & lily. Not boring thanks to the cashmere wood.

Too sweet for me. Citrus is more like jam, not fresh. Powdered sugar nicely intertwined with flowers. Wood is too synthetic. Lacks spice.

For ME PERSONALLY, the lily is too loud! Only much later do soft notes come into play. Incense and woods at the end are comforting. Very good longevity!
