Sonia Bogner feels like a modern fragrance for the worldly woman

All of the floral aspects are quite tame and lovely. The vanilla is very warm and not overly sweet. Amber is present creating a velvety, sensuous non-powdery silk that is luxurious through and through. The florals and gourmands blend quite nicely creating a balanced delicate floral with a full bodied suede like musk.

Civet is noticeable but is not boastful, it simply lingers in the background mingling with the ylang making this most suitable for the woman who enjoys the spotlight. My sample is being dabbed on which is more than likely the reason I have bypassed the aldehydes.

This is red carpet material for the sexy actress who thrives on controversy. The female cast from the show Desperate Housewives comes to mind.

No, this fragrance doesn't really capture me

Today I had the opportunity to compare 3 full miniatures of Sônia Bogner - Bogner Woman. One miniature is darker in color and definitely stronger in longevity. This version seems to be a bit more concentrated - none of the 3 miniatures are tilted. Yay! Unfortunately, the fragrance DNA hasn't really captured me. To be honest, the scent is not really my thing :-( The longevity is between 5 and 8 hours (as I said, the darker version lasts longer). I perceive the sillage as somewhat weaker but still okay.

The top note starts aldehydic with green, citrus, and fruity aromas. Here I recognize peach, bergamot, lemon, but also a disturbingly earthy-floral lily of the valley aroma for me. The heart note smells of iris, violet, garden carnations, rose water, and jasmine blossoms. Alongside this is a biting patchouli note, which feels very earthy, woody, green, and even balsamic - for me, "too much". After a few hours, the fragrance becomes somewhat more bearable for me. The base offers, almost typically for women's fragrances from the house of Bogner, a lot of vanilla. Amber and benzoin support this. Musk and civet bring a strong animalic quality to the fragrance, which I don't necessarily prefer to smell in women's scents. But tastes are indeed different.

Yes, unfortunately, I and Sônia Bogner - Bogner Woman did not become "warm" with each other. Therefore, my 3 miniatures will move on. By the way, I don't see any particular similarity to Obsession Eau de Parfum.

it was in the summer of 89 when I discovered you. I was just working during the semester break and wanted to treat myself with something nice for my hard-earned money, then I met you and liked you from the very first spray.
at first, you had that typical aldehydic fruity accord, like so many from that time, but then...
you were soft, feminine, and vanillic, but also oriental, floral, and sweet. I couldn't get enough of you, and had you been sold by the bucket, I would have bathed in you.

Sweet and Light

I have smelled such an aldehydic perfume many times before, and there is actually nothing wrong with this scent. The notes blend together evenly and sway like in a waltz. It is a happy and harmonious composition, but perhaps it lacks something more defined that could make this perfume a bit more dramatic.

Is civet in there? I only perceive a gentle musk in the base notes.

Production is discontinued? That could be. I wouldn’t chase after it.
