Beautiful and unique unisex scent
Up top I get a cinnamon-spicy, sweet and woody plum. Fairly strong, very natural. Great blend. Over the first 10 minutes, the scent gets more and more woody. Ultimately, I get a VERY strong cedar wood on top of a sweet and spicy cinnamon plum. SUPER WOODY and pretty spicy when smelled up close. Sillage is more sweet cinnamon plum, with a hint of vanilla. Most definitely unisex, but may lean very slightly more masculine than feminine. 30 minutes in, woods and spices tone down and the scent smooths out quite a bit. Plum, cinnamon, and vanilla remain at forefront. Sweet and pleasant. A classy gentlemen could pull this off. Well-dressed and confident. Could be worn day or night. A woman could pull it off too. Might be a little too spicy and woody for some women at first (imo), but I think the dry down would be appreciated. I really appreciate this scent. For the Spring, Autumn, and Winter.

Rollercoaster
Contrary to what its name suggests (sweetness of the day, in the "sweet" sense of the day), Dolce di Giorno is also a perfect companion on bad days.

I like to use it when I'm grinding my teeth, because it immediately announces in a dry, dry tone that he's also not the type to "reach out to others" easily (not every day do we feel able to bond with others). other people).

Black pepper, very dry, almost dusty, complex with an impressive pyramid, difficult to access due to its synthetic compounds, varying from sweet to spicy. It has facets due to the essential oil of cypriol/papyrus, in addition to being aromatic: substitutes, medicinal, almost minty and metallic. Visually, it resembles a scalpel hidden in a basket of Christmas nuts: a cold rage, a bad omen, a danger lurking where you least expect it.

This is not to say that it is bad, quite the contrary. It is magnificent for all the sensations it conveys, whether good or bad. An intoxicating experience!

Dolce di Giorno....FANTASTIC..really:-)!!!!
Dolce di giorno...this morning, at noon, in the afternoon, in the evening, tonight, at night...always:-)))
Actually, that's a lie...because "dolce" is really only true in the first "dieci minuti". I had to wait a long time for a test until finally this beau was up...thanks to Johannes, it was finally time:-)!!!

From the very first moment, my feeling told me that I had a truly wonderful and extraordinary fragrance in front of me...great bottle..great reviews from men and women....that's exactly how it is..bravissimo:-))!!!!
Dolce starts, as the name suggests, sweet...fruity-sweet to be precise! Citrusy freshness meets a subtle peppery sharpness (pink) and sweet cinnamon...what a crazy opening...really love at first sniff. Among all the notes in the top note, cinnamon is clearly the most dominant...and stands out distinctly...well, that's already found in other perfumes...but the mix of freshness-sharpness-sweetness is sensational and so different...never smelled anything like it!!! It definitely reminds me of Lilipur...which ultimately just lacks the freshness...cinnamon and pepper are also present there. After 10-15 minutes, the sweetness diminishes a bit...herbs, woods, and also patchouli come forward...everything perfectly connected...similarly tightly woven as in Lilipur...and that one already excited me a lot. Dolce does this to the same extent...but is less cinnamon-heavy throughout the fragrance development...and becomes a bit more masculine due to the woods and patchouli...it's more of a mix of Lilipur and December...and I love both. For me, Dolce is still a must-buy because I found an old, long-lost acquaintance in the heart note that unfortunately is no longer available for purchase, one that I loved and had in the 90s...Romeo Gigli per Uomo...after 1-2 hours, Dolce reminds me a lot of that...and that alone is worth a purchase for me!!!
Dolce fades with a very nice wood-vanilla mix after 7-8 hours...the sillage is very strong...without being overwhelming. Dolce is a noble, high-quality, extraordinary fragrance that absolutely deserves its high rating!!! Usable everywhere and at any time except in the peak summer...you smell very elevated and exclusive at all times.

'E finito:-)

From the Noble Hardware Store
I was expecting something sweeter than a start of strange, diffuse dry fruitiness. From which, moreover, a significant pinch of pepper emerges within seconds. However, the plums have seen better days and can certainly be described as somewhat rotten. Anyone who has a plum tree likely knows about the masses of fruit every two years. You can't manage them all, and quickly some are left behind to rot. Fortunately, a strong dose of cinnamon helps here. Also thyme and later cardamom, but primarily cinnamon. Sweet, spicy, a bit biting; it offers everything it can in terms of character.

The wood notes seem more synthetic than I had expected against the backdrop of the many related indications; Cashmeran stands out to me particularly, and I sense a bit of a banana-like quality as it develops. Hm... A prominently placed wood note, softened by fruit. Perhaps it's meant to evoke a freshly cut, just-cooled plum tree? I vaguely remember Costume National "Homme" (look, listed as a fragrance twin!). A long time ago and the sample is long gone - no chance for a parallel test, but a sawn plum tree along with its overripe harvest would fit quite well.

In the second hour, the rotten plum calms down and gives way to a bouquet of wood. I'm not a fan of synthetic wood, but I must at least acknowledge that I've never found the corresponding components presented better than in Dolce di Giorno. Certainly, the warm-aromatic and elegantly non-eugenolic character that the cinnamon has now adopted does them good. A hint of vanilla is likely already involved, with an increasing contribution as the morning progresses. It also seems to me that the aforementioned cinnamon is gradually being replaced in a camouflage-like manner by a mix of vanilla and spicy clove. At the same time, the wood darkens in phases and densifies. I think (driven by optics) of mahogany. A shifting of light and dark wood notes begins, gently and sensitively.

That’s essentially it: variations of wood, a sip of tipsy plum, and ambratic vanilla-labdanum cream balance each other until the evening. I find this quite elegant, but unfortunately also a bit boring now. Especially since the mixture undoubtedly shows Italian-creamy tendencies, but is far from the melt of a Vetiver Ambrato from the same house. What a shame.

One more thing remains: Figolide? Evee? Lorenox? Orcanox? Are these aromas or characters from a trashy Michael Peinkofer fantasy adventure? That would be, for example, a story where a wormhole leads to a noble hardware store, where alongside high-quality artificial wood, fine natural woods are offered for sale. How do I come to "Fantasy"? Well, such things can only exist in a parallel universe.

What a Fragrance Pyramid!
What a fragrance pyramid this is! Just a glance at the base notes might lead one to suspect an olfactory overkill. This scent was suggested to me in response to my inquiry in the forum regarding the search for something spicy-woody that doesn’t hit you with a sticky sweetness. The lovely perfumer KJV was kind enough to send me a small sample.

Let’s return to the olfactory overkill, which, while seemingly present, is actually not there at all. Even though I wouldn’t call it an "overkill," the scent remains complex and, above all, versatile. Those who cannot handle such versatility will likely not warm up to "Dolce di Giorno."

Almost Christmas-like, as it is heavenly spicy, the nose is delighted after the first spray. Dry, very airy cinnamon spreads out. This comes across rather dark and thus differs from other creations that feature this spice. Additionally, a pinch of pepper is perceived, which, however, does not cause any stinging in the nose - good!
This dark cinnamon quality, I believe, is first brought forth by the dried plum, which stands out quite prominently as soon as one takes a look at the fragrance pyramid. Plums can be very squeaky, if not downright sticky-sweet. Here, it is different.
The plum seems to be a dried one, which thus impresses with a slightly sour presence. Combined with cinnamon and pepper, this evokes Christmas associations.
So far, everything seems very dry, dusty, and slightly sour to me. Not everyone will like that. However, I find great pleasure in it. Also, entire building complexes are not olfactorily contaminated right away, so the associations regarding the Christmas season and the accompanying contemplation are increasingly confirmed. Christmas also means not putting oneself too much in the foreground, which, in my opinion, is part of that contemplation.

But enough with the moralizing. Let’s return to the scent.

The dry-spicy cinnamon, which skillfully underlines the dried plum, is supposed to dominate the scent profile for several hours. Only later are the Christmas treats packed into a sandalwood bowl. The typical creaminess of this wood sets in, pushing that dominant spice back a bit. Someone throws in a small - really small - vanilla pod into that bowl, adding a touch of sweetness to the mix.
With the onset of the woods and the light, fortunately very subtle sweetness, "Dolce di Giorno" begins to hug the skin more and more. Cinnamon and pepper remain perceptible, but they no longer share themselves quite so much with the surroundings. The wearer can enjoy the creamy sweetness for a few more hours before it slowly and contemplatively withdraws.

Only the wearer?

No, also the wearer!

"Dolce di Giorno" is, like so much, made for every gender. There is nothing that appears exclusively "masculine" or exclusively "feminine." Anyone - no, everyone - should feel free to use it.

Spicy, sweet, woody and even gourmand. I especially get prune with cinnamon, cardamom and cypriol. Cedar and other woods in the base.

As always B1920 walks their own way. Sounds neigh impossible to pull off a classy cinnamon/plum, but they do it. Kudos.

The sun is still blazing. Plums are drying. Smoky sweetness rises into the spicy wood. Warm-toned is the heart's desire. What a beautiful start to autumn.
