Rose on a pea

My French has been rusty for a long time, so I often have to fire up the Google translator to research the meaning of the names. Rose Pois de Senteur Cèdre Blanc means something like Rose Sweet Pea White Cedar. OK - I managed to work out the rose and cedar part myself, but I was surprised by the sweet pea.

A deeper search on the Bon Parfumeur website reveals that it does indeed contain sweet pea, but that it is very similar to rose. This would explain why it cannot be located olfactorily, otherwise Rose Pois de Senteur Cèdre Blanc offers exactly what you would expect from the name: a fresh rose fragrance with a green and cedar accent. However, that white cedar is not as pencil-like as one might otherwise expect, but far clearer and airier.

In between, there are very light citrus notes and plenty of lily of the valley plus other more formal nuances. Overall, it's fresh, floral and spring-like - absolutely positive and light-hearted, even if the rose tends to be a little squeaky and synthetic, which I personally find too feminine. Just a fairly classic, lighter rose fragrance without complications.

If that's exactly what you're looking for, this eau de parfum is a good mood spray for carefree sunny days.

Summer idyll

There's no sugarcoating it: This January is really getting on my nerves! It drags on and on - just January-like - and every glance at the calendar shows:
It's still January!
Even slumbering in my dark, self-imposed cave of scents doesn't help against this moodiness: something has to be done here!
And, lo and behold, I find a small bottle from the "Bon Parfumeur" series; its ingredients promise exactly what I'm looking for:
The scent of flowers, embraced by sunshine and warmth, birdsong and the hum of bumblebees, reminiscent of the sound of small motors, even a cicada concert in the distance = a lively early summer under a blue sky with gentle spring breeze fingers playfully tugging at the already lighter clothing and now uncovered hair
What a wonderful play of colors is revealed by the fragrance pyramid of "101 Rose Pois de Senteur Cèdre Blanc/101 Rose Pois de Senteur Patchouli", one of the layered fragrances from the series mentioned above.
Fragrant watercolors running into each other like from the ink box of childhood:
Innocent lily of the valley white on darker leaf green; roses in delicate white and light powdery pink tones, varied red and tea rose yellow, full to bursting or simply five-petaled with friendly faces, all turned towards the warming sun.
They surround themselves with the slightly faded watercolors of fragrant vetches, which add a delicate lilac to the delicate play of colors.
These climb up simple trellises: Their fragile long stems with small leaves, which are always an invitation to weave wreaths and flower bracelets, need support to carry the flower heads of these butterfly peas.

Just a few drops and I am part of this picture and feel very comfortable and warmly protected in this fragrance illusion.

A fragrance that could possibly be described as unspectacular, but which for friends of watercolor art and the Impressionists represents a small work of art in the fragrance and which also
in its glassy, translucent effect, reminds me of the enamel technique known as "plique-à-jour"; only great artists turn it into jewelry.
