Decent aquatic but doesn't move the needle much for me
Sampling Bon Parfumeur 801 Sea Spray Cedar Grapefruit, and it hits the mark reasonably well, being palpably aquatic and fresh, with woody and citric tones. There’s something vaguely dirty and animalic in the sea spray aspect, so it’s not a totally clean, benign aquatic but rather something with a bit of attitude and provocation, all while still being a fairly grounded, fresh experience. It’s pleasant but not especially memorable, and I prefer some of the other freshies in the line that I’ve tried so far. Still, I can see how this would be mass-appealing.

Its concentration is EDP and it has the same standard retail pricing of $107/53/34 for 100/30/15ml, not bad, overall, though, I think it would be more worthwhile for a couple of the others that I’ve tried.

Very helpful Review 11
invigorating waves of fragrance
Salty spray dances around me, even here in my shady spot next to the aromatic citrus grove; a pleasant refreshment at this warm midday hour - time for a siesta, despite the loud string concert of a busy cicada orchestra.
The otherwise calm Mediterranean at my feet, on the other hand, doesn't take a break:
Instead of lying there like a mirror, today high waves are powerfully ridden by white foam-born creatures and hurled against the cliffs, where they smash into numerous glittering droplets and scatter widely in the summer air.
Cooling sea water mist moistens the ripe citrus fruits and their foliage with fine salty pearls, close together, and these aromatic waves of scent also reach me and my beloved southern fragrant conifers:
Slender cypresses and cedars with their silvery-silky trunks and spicy personalities are among my favorite trees in the Mediterranean south; they share its lightness and way of life with me.
Rosemary, which has been at home on the balcony for years and now almost dominates it, plays a part in this trio of fragrances, which combines so harmoniously with the salty citrus scent and together enlivens the aromatic freshness in a green and spicy way.

I find an almost authentic piece of fragrance nature in the flacon with "801 - Embruns Cèdre Pamplemousse" by Bon Parfumeur: with its help, I am now sitting on a cozy blanket, lined with warm, resinous musky scents, and dreaming of the south.

This creation is pleasantly citrusy, spicy and invigorating without being scratchy or biting.
I have to be particularly careful with citrus and coniferous aromas; if they are too sharp, my eyes water very quickly and I start sneezing.
Fortunately, this is not the case here and I am met with a friendly summery fragrance with the sillage and longevity of a scented water that demands nothing from me, but gives a lot:
The wonderful feeling of summer, sun, Mediterranean, carefree - free and sprayed around!

Vitalizing water
Bon Parfumeur is a French perfume brand that aims to harmonize perfumery know-how with ecological responsibility The brand has set itself the goal of making all its compositions as clean as possible. As a fan of fresh and clean fragrances, this appeals to me and also arouses my curiosity.

801 is now the first fragrance from this brand that I have been able to test.
It arrived in a practical 15 ml travel bottle.
The bottle looks simple, unagitated and certainly stands a little for the brand's line.

801 starts off very refreshing, invigorating and vitalizing.
According to the pyramid, the top note consists only of fruity and citrusy components, which cannot be confirmed olfactorily.
To me, the notes here are rather fresh, with strong green hints.
The whole thing is paired with a slightly tart note, which probably comes from the grapefruit.
It doesn't take long to notice nutmeg either, a slightly woody, minimally sweet, warm structure that blends in well.

In general, the fragrance is very fresh, very clean and very bright at all times.
Hints of slightly mineral notes can certainly be sniffed out, probably characterized here by the "spray note".

in my opinion, 801 is a safe bet, especially in the warmer months, if you want to smell fresh, revitalized and well-groomed.
On the other hand, it is not highly complex and may be labeled "boring" by some. In its category, however, it does a very good job for me and is recommended.

The only drawback is the stamina.
Unfortunately, I hardly notice the fragrance after around 4 hours, so you have to spray it on early if you want to wear it throughout the day.

However, the 15 ml travel bottle can be easily stored in any inside jacket pocket and can be easily refilled between meetings, appointments and other things.

A thumbs up from me. I'm looking forward to other candidates in this category.

Wake me up, dear sea, and pour me a freshly squeezed juice
Imagine it's summer. The heat makes your clothes stick, your head gets drowsy and you become phlegmatic. "Jesus, climate change...", you think and sigh. Is this the summer blues, summertime sadness? Maybe.

But the good news is that there is an antidote, at least in the short term. It's 801 Embruns Cèdre Pamplemousse, which gives you a real boost of freshness from the very first spritz. There you are again, awake, clear, ready for adventure, preferably on the beach or at the harbor. And it's not just you, but also the people around you who are in the mood for the sea. Do you like water sports, sailing? Do you like to enjoy a wine spritzer on the terrace of a fish restaurant? Do you get your vitamins from the grapefruit at the breakfast buffet of your hotel on the Mediterranean in the morning?
Then this fragrance is for you.

What I find remarkable: the citrus does not bite, is elegant and almost soft right from the start, no suspicion of toilet stone, no unpleasantly dominant synthetics due to the "spray". The nutmeg, the pink pepper and the base notes of the fragrance ground the whole refreshment so that we don't fly away. The longevity and sillage of this fragrance is also decent for a fresh aquat, it stays on my skin for a relatively long time and stays with me for around 5-6 hours. I therefore find the price and performance reasonable.

I suspect this fragrance is not yet very well known and wrongly so. At any rate, 801 Embruns Cèdre Pamplemousse has had me hooked for a few summers now.

Sailor's luck
With a cold bottle of Radler on the wall of the promenade to the lighthouse in Warnemünde. It's windy and the sea is coming into the Alter Strom in big waves, the air is damp from the spray and we pull on sweaters. Behind us are the dunes with their mild green grass.
The sand is still a little warm from the day's sunshine. I send greetings out to sea, to my father, to all those who have dedicated their lives to the ocean.

Home in a fragrance!

If you're looking for insane sillage or everlasting longevity...well, you won't be happy here. But I am touched by this fragrance and it is a valuable discovery in the search for all the ways the sea can smell.
