Prejudices bring surprises....

"Cologne" in the name...? nope, definitely too weak for me...
"citrusy-spicy"...? nope, i don't like citrusy scents....

So I left the fragrance when it came to me by chance as a sample and I had a quick look at the fragrance notes here on the forum....
The top note reads for me already horrendous, only citruses, bäääh....

But since I like some other Bortnikoff's very much, I decided, after about 2 weeks of lying around the sample, but to dare a test....

Applied to the arm and expected a "Zitrusion", I was immediately "disappointed" - no full citrus drone.... hmmm, I had too many prejudices against the top note?
Definitely!

At the beginning, M.C. is indeed refreshing with delicate sprinkles of citrus, but at the same time, a beautiful resinous haze comes out on my skin.... delicate, earthy, softly fresh, lightly spicy and mossy... S-A-G-E-N-H-A-F-T-! i'm telling you!

Dry woods and a gentle sweetness follow later....

Blown away and flashed, I stand there now, nose constantly on my arm, unable to let go..... What a scent!

Ok, let's see how it looks with the durability and the charisma - those who know me, know I do not like balmy winds - I like whens bangs and that also like neat and long-lasting...

In the morning at about 7:00 clock thus made up...
After a normal working day, in the evening again the nose ran and lo and behold, M.C. is still there - although not so violently, but still he has survived the day!
Test passed!

Bottle had to her - and now I'm happy to have found a fragrance that actually does not fit from the description in my Beuteschema and yet has a permanent place in my collection - apart from that even one of my favorites has become !

Bortnikoff has it just on it - Chapeau and thank you for this bezauebrnden fragrance!

quality,but...

having so many of Bortnikoffs, this is not for me. I appreciate more "Chypre du Nord" in this genre. has something in common about "Musk Khabib"? maybe, but MK is a masterpiece, this is not for me. so much appreciated the quality of the raw materials, which in this DB is excellence. Advice? try it in decant before a purchase

Intelligent, spicy, woody chypre with signature potential

I usually say to my boyfriend "Smells like dead granny!" when I smell oldschool, niche chypre fragrances Even if it triggers strong associations for me and I bring grandma's dressing table and the smell of the 70s back to my mind's eye/nose, I'm often not a big fan. Especially because these fragrances always trigger exactly the same associations.

But it's definitely different with Moss Cologne. It was love at first spray. Bortnikoff has delivered a masterpiece, which is unfortunately undervalued.

About the fragrance:
There really isn't as much Zitrik Wiesmann as you would expect based on the fragrance notes given. And that's a good thing. A slightly tart grapefruit note opens the fragrance very nicely and kicks off a fantastically beautiful progression.

Jasmine is initially very present in the fragrance. However, it is deliberately and intelligently taken away from the flowery meadow and surrounded by wonderfully spicy and green notes. Nutmeg and oakmoss complement the fragrance perfectly.

And then this wonderfully warm, soft and long-lasting base emerges, which makes the fragrance very modern and special. A worthy signature!

Longevity and sillage are absolutely top for me. The fragrance lasts a good 6-7 hours on me and is very present in my immediate surroundings. Great bottle, fair price.

I can only recommend it to anyone who wants to try out the world of chypre. An incredibly great fragrance!

Little brother/sister of Musk Khabib

For me this is a "lite" version of what a Musk Khabib by Bortnikoff would be.
It has a fairly similar scent, so with the resemblance to it, let's say it's a nuanced musk and bergamot bomb.
It has a good projection and silage, shorter lasting than Musk Khabib but quite good and considering that its price is also more affordable, with over-application we have solved the performance issue if it were necessary to take it further in terms of power and/or hours.
The lower intensity in this case makes it easier to dress, for more tastes and occasions.
It is elegant with an attractive sensual point that is not the classic and usual animalic or leather-supported nuance. It's a fresher orientation.
It may be hard to smell it the first time and people not very immersed in niche perfumes find it a bit strange, but then it is not easy to stop smelling it and avoid wanting more.
