If Creed's Bois Du Portugal was lemon dominant
* I have to add an update after trying this one more a few more times...there is a piss like scent in the drydown that is a little off-putting, it's fairly faint and at the point of this being a skin scent...but not ideal.
I'm on the hunt for something to replace the discontinued Neroli Portofino Forte by Tom Ford, nothing else comes close. Regular Neroli Portofino just doesn't cut it. In that quest, I picked up this.
Now, this does have an excellent citrus here, smells incredibly natural...but the Cedar is just overpowering. It's almost as if you had a cedar closet that you squirted some lemon juice in. The Citrus scent is up in the top...but you're very much noticing a strong cedar.
It's very dated, very mature...reminds me a lot of Bois Du Portugal but with more lemon zest.
I think compared to Bois Du Portgual...this feels more refined and more high class. Gives the oldschool barbershop feel but defiantly not modern or youthful like Neroli Portofino or the superior Forte version.
