Not British :))

I had an original batch bottle, wooden cap, and I regret letting it go. It is, cause I vividly remember it, such a beautiful scent, opens with that green tea note and then what I smell is a flora note, not in your face tuberose, and soft oud with that tobacco-ish vibe. It’s a unisex, white shirt supreme scent. Botnikoff’s heavy ouds, so to speak, perfumes might be more sought after by afficionados but Sir Winston is a utmost beautiful scent. Not British because I associate it to spring, summer, vacation and dolce vita !

English aplomb

Perfume dedicated to the historical figure of Winston Churchill.
Green tea and tobacco, English style.
The perfume revolves around tuberose with astringent green (tea) nuances first and tobacco and woody afterwards.
Indonesian oud gives an important woody note with a hint of cola (yes, I'm not crazy).
The ambergris largely provides a lot of brightness to the fragrance and a sensation that I would call "salty."

what a wonder of floral! Winston would be proud of that. known that tobacco together with the tuberose that gives elegance and complexity. excellent quality like all Bortnikoffs.
here you can smell when Winston was staying in his studio in chartwell. newspapers, cubans and flowers. something dusty on wood, perhaps his box carries cigars and some trace of ash. the tuberose is that vase of hers filled with water for the flowers, which have almost withered. he thought of them and made himself the man that is written in the history books.

Madame Churchill

I think that based on the name, 99% of us would expect this perfume to be dark, smoky, and intensely tobacco-heavy—after all, Sir Winston Churchill was known to smoke around ten cigars a day.

What Dimitri @bortnikoffparfum created instead is a very abstract and surprising interpretation: a bubblegum-like fragrance built around real tuberose, with a honeyed nuance, even though honey isn’t listed in the note pyramid. Most likely, it’s the combination of tuberose and a generous dose of ambergris that creates this sweetened effect.

A prominent tea note opens the composition and blends seamlessly with the rest, while tobacco plays only a supporting role, serving as the backbone of the fragrance.

Overall, it’s an unusual yet sensual composition, with moderate sillage and longevity. Here, the tobacco stays quietly in the background.

Cheers, Winston!

Sir Winston is for me the most pleasing fragrance of Dmitry's fourth collection. I don't mean that in a pejorative way at all.

He stands out. Very positive.

The essential chords are actually a warm floral tuberose, vanilla and amber. They create a nice, boozy cognac aura without appearing completely tipsy. In the next hours some light tobacco and wooden chords blend into the composition. They rather shimmering trough in the first few hours, but seem to get stronger and stronger in the over the time, and then dominate the drydown completely.

Sir Winston scarcely misses a gourmand label and shares (imho) some ground with Musk Khabib.

At the police checkpoint you should be prepared for a compliment rather than being asked to take an alcohol test. ;)
