The pink city
I have five Boucherons in my collection. I suppose the most famous is the original Boucheron from 1988. The bottle and the beautiful fragrance are iconic. Still my own favourite is Trouble though it does not get as good a rating. Boucheron is a house that apparently produces heavy scents. Jaïpur is heavy, especially after 15 minutes. So think twice before spraying, depending on your next activity. The beginning has a very distinct fruit mix with the freesia but the fruity part disappears quickly and the scent becomes floral. A lovely but quite loud one of its kind. I keep getting whiffs of the different flowers but rose and freesia are the most explicit. The warm dry down starts after three to four hours.
Compared to Boucheron Jaïpur gets the same rating when looking at the bottle. They are both unique, but I do like the bracelet shaped bottle of Jaïpur.
As far as I know Jaïpur is the capital city of the Northern Indian state, Rajastahn, also known as ‘the pink city’. I suppose the perfume is named after this.

Despite the colorful flowers and fruits, it feels a bit childish due to the bubblegumish sweetness. But it will be fine by the mid-20s.
