How many times can I say "cool girl scent"?

Saying that I love Eau de Californie would be an understatement. It opens up with a dirty citrus and then settles into a mossy, slightly smoky palo santo that feels deliciously creamy and airy yet never sweet. It's my idea of effortlessly cool. A little raunchy. Messy-sexy, like stealing a few sprays from the bottle you found in the bathroom of the guy you spent the night with, maybe one of his shirts too, and slipping out bright and early while he's still peacefully asleep. Safe to say it's my #1 favorite from Celine, together with Nightclubbing.
Unfortunately, it really doesn't last long - maybe 2-3 hours, before becoming a very intimate skinscent. If they ever came out with a more concentrated version, it would make me extremely happy.

Eau de Cali...for....n.....

This is beautiful, dry and meditative but also very classic is structure..woody bergamote and moss. I sense vanilla and orris lingering in the dry California climate. Palo Santo has a creamy, oily smell but here it is dry. It's my favorite of the Celine's I've tried.

My issue with this scent lies in its lackluster performance vs the price. Yes it's classy, luxurious, refined and honestly incredible smelling, but it vanishes in an hour. For $400 bucks at least give me a little more than a skin scent version of an Eau de Cologne? It's advertised as an Eau du Parfum.

An Iris lover's / Clean Girl's Dream

I'm obsessed with Eau de Californie. I'm not even a huge fan of this genre that straddles chypre and clean girl aesthetic, but omg this blew me away. I think it's my favorite from Celine. Definitely possesses a similar DNA to Prada Infusion d'Iris & YSL Trench, but Eau de Californie is 100x better IMO, it's just so balanced and dreamy. I can totally see this being a signature scent of mine. A must have for any Iris/Orris lover.

A quick-change artist who needs time.

This fragrance I see only on a man, because the most of all the Celines reminds me of a typical fresh Eau de Parfüm/Toilette for men. The just seems very fresh and pretty arbitrary in the first 20-30 minutes. Could also be a normal men's fragrance from Douglas. Ouch, sorry Celine but so it works on me in the opening. I would have given up the fragrance almost immediately. Unsweet, woody and tangy. A thousand times already smelled. So I feel the fragrance immediately after the aufprühen... In short, uninteresting...

In drydown, however, the fragrance is clearly more interesting and almost a bit magical. A fragrance that definitely needs the warmth of the skin and time to fully develop.... The wait is worth it but...In drydown come very soft bright super great woody notes to the fore and a very nice spice of the clearly noticeable.... The fragrance works in the drydown much less tangy and becomes almost soft / spicy and much, much more interesting.... The patchouli, my dislike of this note considered, is not oppressive but super pleasant earthy without being musty.... Celine is for me an artist when it comes to patchouli... What could almost pass for a boring mainstream scent in the opening, turns into a very spicy/woody but soft and super pleasant scent in the drydown.... Has a bit of a very bright cigar box....

I see the scent on a man in a casual suit. For everyday but also for the evening well suited. My grammar leaves something to be desired but I'm Danish and fighting a battle with German grammar :-/...
