Know what you are getting into

First impression was floor cleaner, but the floor cleaner used in a very upscale outdoor bathroom of a picturesque Mediterranean herb garden on a perfectly hot, sunny, day. This pleasantness lasted a few hours but then the immortelle began taking over. I haven't smelled immortelle very distinctly before so trying this one was an oops on my part. Helichrysum essential oil smells like wet hay to me, and that would have been nice here, but the immortelle note is not like that. It has a toasted fenugreek maple-syrupy sweetness that is unfortunately one of the scents I cannot tolerate at all so at that point I couldn't smell anything else/wanted to remove my arm.

Itchy immortelle.
Herbal spicy resinous with ISO that makes it contemporary and CdG.
Curry-soupy (lots of tumeric) might turn off many.

The aesthetics of the series are maintained here as well. The focus is on Immortelle. The herbs and especially Patch provide enough....

Like all CdG-Monocle, it’s very good, but a bit less innovative: immortelle, patchouli, musk, quite natural, moderate, almost mainstream.

No curry! Rosemary is prominent, thyme is more subtle for me. A smoky note, I imagine celery. I find it more like aromatherapy.
