Impression of cookies
First when you spray it you get a a really intense vanilla-tropical fruit mix. It only takes seconds to settle down and reveal a sweet, warm scent of coconut, banana, vanilla and whipped cream all nicely blended together. I m not sure about the heliotrope but I think its there to enrich the vanilla note and gives a slightly powdery effect (only a little). It stays close to the skin and the thing I love is that it does not smell synthetic at all to me and that its not a one-dimensional Coconut scent. When you smell it on your wrist its very foody and very comforting. It surrounds you like an embracing, sweet and gentle veil.

Now, I have to mention how people around me perceive it! There is something alluring in this fragrance, a characteristic you cannot predict when you smell it on yourself. Every time I wear it I get many compliments and I have people coming close and taking sniffs leaving comments like "Whats this, Vanilla, Coconut?", the funny thing being that they re not sure what it is because its not the usual vanilla coconut smelling scent, it leaves a milky sweet, irresistible aura... Many people have also stated that it smells like cookies!

SILLAGE as I mentioned is not a monster but it leaves a very pleasant aura
LONGEVITY good, I usually reapply during the day to invigorate the notes but that does not bother me at all.

I think its a must try for people who like milky sweets not to exclude others as well who maybe want to try something different from their usual likes!

Creamy, lactonic coconut milk with some tropical fruitiness and a hint of synthetic
Bought this perfume as part of a travel size sample set from Sephora just before they discontinued Comptoir Sud Pacifique (CSP) from their brand offering. Held off from trying CSP because I had other decants to try out, but now I've been coming back to my travel sizes to try and declutter. This is the second one from my travel size set!

A blast of well-churned, creamy, lactonic coconut milk goodness. This is what I get for the first 15 minutes. It's delicious, and oh so comforting. A lovely dupe for many coconut fragrances I've smelled out there. Unfortunately, and this might be on me, I think lactonic fragrances turn out a bit sour at the edge when I spritz them on my skin. It could be a skin chemistry; aka a "me" problem. After the creaminess, comes the slightly powdery scent from the heliotrope. I don't get any florals whatsoever from it. Thinking it got drowned in that vat of coconut milk while steeping in there. There's also a fruity quality that starts appearing. Smells like the flesh of a coconut mixed with something tropical (maybe bananas?). It's a bit undescript so I can't really say how it smells other than fruity. After that vanilla starts to come up. It's the same vanilla as the one found in other CSP products: warm, elegant and sweet.

Overall it's a fine fragrance and a lovely dupe if you want something not too expensive that smells like coconut. I think it's nice, but I'm starting to realise I'm not that much of a coconut fragrance girl, so it won't be making it into my collection as a full bottle.

milky coconut with vanilla cake
very straightforward vanilla and coconut. It’s a yellow cake type of vanilla, fluffy and sweet, with milky coconut. Coconut here doesn’t read tropical or sunscreen esque, just straight to the point, creamy, milky, and sweet coconut paired with that desert like vanilla. A fun and simplistic composition

Cheesy gourmand
Vanille Coco opens in fact with a greasy caramel blast of vanilla and coconut, which reminds me of some hyper sweet chewing gums I used to go crazy when I was a child, stuffed with sugar and synthetic flavours (those huge gums you chewed for 5 minutes before all the flavour was gone). I also get a metallic-camphoraceous aftertaste which gives kind of a cheap feel to this blend, which to me does not smell neither particularly rich nor high-quality, just a bit cloying and syringed with diabetes-inducing sugary aromachemicals to make it smell loud and clear – as with most of gourmands, the rule seems to be “the louder the better”. The evolution is nicer because at least it gets a bit drier and lighter, although remaining pretty much identical for hours in terms of smell. Personally I think it looks quite hard to make “mature”, versatile and quality gourmands; this one sadly falls within the “tacky, cheesy, teenish” category for me.

The new CSP-CEdVAS-DKUB
The “Comptoir-Sud-Pacifique-Collection-Eaux-de-Voyage-Department-South-Sea-Fragrance-Comment-Universal-Building-Block” (CSP-CEdVAS-DKUB) provides all interested parties with an opportunity to standardize the comments on the opulent fragrances from the CSP line “Collection Eaux de Voyage”/Department South Sea upon request, thereby making their creation more efficient.

For the identical passages regarding individual fragrance notes, time indications, and impressions, text modules are now available, which can be accessed by number or capital or lowercase letter. For some representatives of this class of CSP fragrances, the extent of my comments could be reduced to a fraction (this alone is undoubtedly a desirable effect…).

Since the following text marks the premiere use of the CSP-CEdVAS-DKUB, the text modules are still available for reference below. The more perfumes join in, the less this will be necessary!

So here now is the comment:
VC starts with (A) (1), which offers a scent not unlike (3) (B). (b) can already be felt (2) and balances the sweetness nicely with a hint of fruitiness and a touch of acidity for good (c). (C)! Within (d), (1) and (3) (E) rise. (F) (e) (G). A pure (3) sweetness completely takes over after (f), while the fragrance slowly retreats to the skin and (g) fades.
Conclusion: (H).

The CSP-CEdVAS-DKUB text modules (additions welcome!):
For the fragrance notes:
(1) Heliotrope
(2) Coconut/-milk/-nut/-pulp/-shavings
(3) Vanilla/-absolute/-sugar/-flower/-pod
(4) Ylang-Ylang
(5) Milk/-foam
(6) (Rock) sugar
(7) Tonka/-bean
(8) still unassigned; candidate: Jasmine
(9) still unassigned; candidates: Cocoa/-bean; Violet/-leaf
(10) Amber
(11) Patchouli
(12) Musk

For the times:
(a) immediately, quickly
(b) within a few minutes
(c) 15-30 minutes
(d) 1-2 hours
(e) 3-4 hours
(f) 5-6 hours
(g) about from the seventh, eighth hour

For the fragrance impressions:
(A) a decent surge of
(B) strong sweetness with beautiful South Sea appeal
(C) A delicious treat
(D) Hesperidic/hesperidic
(E) among the defining components of the fragrance
(F) However, the fragrance will (possibly already) after
(G) become very sweet, the (possibly few) balancing elements are nearly gone
(H) A lovely gourmand for lovers of dessert fragrances. Arriving at a very sweet base after a few hours.

Lovely, tropical and creamy coconut milk. A bit of fruitiness and a hint of synthetic. Nice dupe for many coconut frags out there.

DEFINITELY
Coconut in the vanilla.
Before someone
eats me up,
I'll wash it off.
With soap.
That's for sure.

"Wow, Tina, where did you get that delicious coconut soap?"
"Hey, Dani, they had it in a 5-liter tank at Schlecker."
"The aroma of the 90s, right..."

The sun is shining.
Time to apply some lotion!!!
Oh, Hawaiian Tropic is empty?!
No matter, I'll use the sunscreen spray
from dm.
As long as there's sun!

A milky-creamy mix of vanilla with coconut. It feels too food-like for me and makes me crave coconut foam kisses.

I would rather eat this coconut-vanilla dream than smell it. I'm powerless against it, I love it.

A striking scent with more coconut than vanilla. Smooth and rounded. Too creamy, is it possible to gain weight just by smelling?
