Sweet & simple
I enjoy coconut the most when it's really creamy, or when it's more woodsy leaning and doesn't smell all that much of coconut. I'm not the biggest fan of coconut scents that smell dry and sweet like grated coconut for baking.
Coco Extreme is a mix of creamy coconut milk, dry coconut flakes and vanilla. The other notes all make sense when you read them, but don't stand out at all. This is a very simple scent. It doesn't smell like sunscreen or pina coladas, just sweet coconut. If I had to compare it so something from real life, I'd say it's the closest to the inside of a bounty bar, but with a perfumey background hum.

This reminds me a lot of the old Noix de Coco by Yves Rocher, which I had for a short time in 8th grade (20 years ago). That was not my best perfume choice, so I moved on quickly. Coco Extreme is more rounded and therefore also more pleasant to my nose, but still far from the perfect coconut. In my opinion CSP's fruity vanillas are nicer than this.

Pure Coconut...
Coco Extrême, or "Extreme Coconut" is a fragrance (like many in the Comptoir Sud Pacifique line) which is true to it's name.

Now, coconut is the main player here. It's in the name, it's in the composition, it's loud and it's "extreme".

What I get from this is the many facets of coconut throughout this perfume. The fresh aspects, like the juice, the pulp and the flesh... and the dry aspects; the powdered coconut, the coconut butter, the cream. It's like all of these aspects rolled into one. I also get the aroma of coconut biscuits. The ones made with fresh butter and lots of sugar. This is definitely a delicious perfume, a great example of a "gourmand" scent.

Overall though, Coco Extrême can be one-dimensional. It's all about the coconut from start to finish. I think that if you like that sort of thing (i.e. you are someone who enjoys the smell of coconut and has a craving for a purely coconut smell), then look no further, as this is the one. If you are looking for something that is more than just coconut, or dislike the note in general, then perhaps it would be best to look elsewhere.

As for me, I like it! Although I wouldn't reach for it everyday. Again I would have to be "in the mood" to wear something like this, or smell like this all the time. I will say this though, it did bring a smile to my face, and if a perfume can make me happy like that, then it isn't such a bad perfume after all...

The monkeys run through the forest...
... one makes the other cold - who has stolen the coconut, the coconut!?

Oops - we sang such barbaric little songs as children completely carefree - and completely politically incorrect.

Strangely, no guardian intervened - probably hoping that we would still become decent citizens.

But I still rewrite the lines: The monkeys run through the forest - each grabs a nut -
who has stolen the coconut, the coconut?

The answer is obvious: The whole monkey gang has turned this heap of coconuts into a very cozy scent.

The entire jungle smells of coconut, refined with creamy milk - sweetened with rock candy - rounded off with tonka and topped with vanilla.

Maybe the monkey king King Louis is celebrating his birthday?

I hope I get invited!

Fleeting Coconut
That a coconut perfume only appeals to dedicated coconut fans is clear. But I can't recommend Coco Extreme to them either, simply because the price-performance ratio doesn't add up here.

The opening is dreamy. For a few seconds, Coco Extreme smells wonderfully like Batida de Coco. Intensely coconutty, rich, milky. With the alcohol, the scent of Batida also evaporates - somehow understandable, right?

What remains still smells of coconut, but significantly "thinner". The rich milky-creamy note is gone. It's logical that coconut scents smell synthetic and shouldn't scare off the coconut fan. In this respect, the coconut smell is okay, but not as great as at the beginning. After a maximum of two hours, the fun is over and it needs to be reapplied.

For comparison, I sprayed Coco Extreme on one wrist and the ridiculously cheap Noix de Coco from Yves Rocher on the other. And lo and behold: apart from the fleeting Batida note, both scents smell the same. Only, the YR scent lasts for several hours on the skin.

I recommend the budget-friendly option!

If you like pina coladas...
My first coconut scent! I got it through a swap game and what can I say:
yummy! Like it!

The first spray catapults me back to Italy, more specifically to the island of Albarella in the Veneto region. We were there years ago when the kids were still small, cars had to be parked in a big parking lot at the front, because there was a car ban on the island!
And we loved it, my kids could play on the street, I never had to worry about traffic.
We had a small holiday home near the beach, we either stayed there or explored the island with rented bicycles, took trips to Venice, etc. During this vacation, I had a coconut shower gel with me, I think it was from Yves Rocher. Showering with it after the beach was just wonderful.
And that’s exactly how the scent smells to me. When sprayed, it reminds me of Pina Colada! A bit alcoholic, but that doesn’t last long, then the scent becomes softer, creamier and... well, it just smells like coconut.
But as delicious as liquid Bounty, I could bite into it. The scent doesn’t smell synthetic on my skin at all, it just stays delicious. Summery! Oh, I’m looking forward to wearing it when it gets warmer (or just at home because it feels so sensual to me... )
What I did notice: if you smell it directly on the skin, there’s a slightly sharp note. If you keep your nose 2-3 cm above, then wowwww!

The best part is that it’s one of the few scents that remains distinctly noticeable even after spraying from about 30 cm away! Few can achieve that on my skin, and I’m sitting here writing on my laptop and can easily perceive the scent.
After 2 hours, I have to get a bit closer, then it becomes skin-close, it needs (skin) warmth to really unfold, then it simply becomes a coconut dream! *_*
I can perceive it strongly at first for 6-8 hours, then it becomes skin-close, which rarely happens with any scents! And on clothing: it lasts and lasts and lasts...

After showering, we went a few houses down to a small Italian bar that mixed some of the best Pina Coladas I’ve ever had!
From the inside and outside, I was a walking coconut elf and yes, it was so wonderful. The mild evenings, pizza and bar, life is beautiful!
I’m currently reminiscing.

If you like pina coladas - then test it, wait and enjoy!

I’m getting a bit of wanderlust.... :(

Nothing extreme about this. Very middling vanilla coconut that’s kinda weak and bland. It reminds me of SunBum After Sun lotion.

Doesn't start off well: coconut sun oil and air mattress. But it gets better and later smells like coconut biscuit in Pina Colada.

The sweetness is extreme, unfortunately not the coconut. Synthetic coconut milk with vanilla - body lotion or sunscreen. Too heavy and too sweet.

Coconut milk from a warm plastic bottle, it releases the scent even better.
There's no lovely South Sea dream here.

A coconut dessert to spray on. I prefer to eat that, not smell like it. Thank goodness it doesn't have a strong projection.

For lovers of coconut and vanilla, a treat to spray on.
Personally, it's too sweet for me, but I like it on women.

Vanilla & coconut in hot, sweet milk. On top, there's tonka & sugar - go big or go home. A must for sweet tooths.

Summer coconut scent with a hint of sunscreen. Not as intense as the name suggests.

Sweet coconut milk scent, unjustly criticized: Yes, it's artificial. But you get used to it & learn to love it. Every summer day gourmand, H&S TOP!
