just a weak refreshing water
Right off the bat - I LOVE fresh aquatics!!
I love the element of water, the salty, bitter scent of the sea, green algae, .... and to not lose my femininity, it can have a fruity or spicy or powdery... undertone.
Now, based on my favorite scent from the 90s (New West for her by Aramis), I searched for a worthy successor, with the hand cream from Crabtree&E. from this series being mentioned several times;
how great was my joy when I discovered at the beginning of this year that C&E is launching an EdT La Source - this one!
After waiting in vain for 8 weeks for my delivery, I ordered it elsewhere, of course immediately 100ml - I trust the opinions here so much ;-)), it finally arrived at Petunie!
So, how does it smell:
Top note: ....waiting...*facial expression goes awry*....toilet spray ....*crying*
a few minutes later, the
Heart note:.... yessss....*a smile begins to form*....SAAALZ...sea.....*this could be something*....mmmh, bitter green sea
half an hour later
a slightly floral remainder of the heart note...*pondering*...a bit of lily of the valley (definitely NOT Petit grain).....*almost in tears*
1 hour later
Base note:....*sniffing and searching*....a lukewarm remainder, again a bit bitter, like a cheap men's deodorant....Basil is discernible...
2 hours later
GONE (and primarily it was about 5-6 sprays!)...*searching*...nothing left...
repeated this cycle several times - always the same
I think I don't need to say more. A little water if you don't want to smell perfumed, but just want to smell clean..... nothing else. And way too expensive for that,
My search continues......
small addendum after a few weeks:
the base (amber and something else bitter-rough) lingers in the clothing for days. I found a shirt that I wore with this scent 3 days ago - smells like it was scented with Axe deodorant for men. No, that's really not acceptable :-(
