Aaah, another fragrance from this crab tree brand! Mu ha ha, no of course the name doesn't mean crab tree, but I like the name Crabtree because it reminds me of crabs. And the idea of seeing a tree populated by crabs is somehow cool. Especially since crabs also look cute :)
Moreover, there are actually crabs (well, actually they are called crustaceans, but let’s not be too picky :D) that climb trees. More specifically, they climb palm trees to open coconuts (of course while the coconuts are still growing and thus don’t have such a hard outer shell yet, making them easier for the crabs to open) and eventually eat them. These creatures are called coconut thieves, but they are more aptly referred to in colloquial terms as coconut robbers :D
Now I come to a rose fragrance from this crab brand. And who knows, maybe there are also rose crabs that like to eat roses? He he he :DD
The Fragrance:
At first, I smell some pepper, roses, and blackberries. Although it says white pepper, I have no idea what white pepper smells like. It definitely doesn’t smell like black pepper (that comes later, and only faintly), and due to the combination with the sweet scents, particularly from the blackberries, the fragrance reminds me more of pink pepper.
Well, anyway, the fragrance is very nice at the beginning, mainly sweet-floral with a slightly spicy background.
Just a little later, I detect cloves, but they don’t last long. The spicy notes wafting from the background also become weaker, so now I mainly smell roses, and there’s a creamy touch in the fragrance.
Towards the base, it remains creamy-sweet and floral. However, the floral aspect becomes heavier (and slightly muggy) as ylang-ylang is added. The roses, however, become weaker now. I smell leather only slightly, but patchouli much better. A little later, you can smell the almost typical base notes like vanilla (which makes the fragrance powdery, by the way, also fitting well with the warm-soft creamy notes) and sandalwood. Tonka bean can also be detected well, which pairs wonderfully with the vanilla and makes the fragrance even softer. Yes, the base is quite sweet and also very beautiful.
The Sillage and Longevity:
The projection is above average and will be perceived (depending on dosage) more or less from a normal distance. By that, I mean that you could smell the fragrance in a small room.
The longevity is, you can guess it, quite high for such a fragrance. I bet it easily lasts 12, 14, or 16 hours or more (at least that was the case for me). I could even smell the fragrance after showering.
The Bottle:
The bottle is rectangular and tinted dark blue. On the front, there is a dark blue label with a golden frame, and the cap is rectangular and transparent. It’s a pretty simple bottle, but it’s okay.
This crab fragrance (yes, as I said, I like both the fragrance name and crabs themselves, so I’m calling the fragrance a crab fragrance again :)) smells really great! It has a beautiful and very feminine scent that seems perfectly suited for evenings, for going out. It feels elegant, lovely, and even a bit sensual. However, I will refrain from using terms like sexy, delicious, etc. … otherwise, I’ll get too carried away as always :DD
*seeeeeufz*
You can definitely wear the fragrance especially well in autumn and winter. It’s a pity that the fragrance was limited and is no longer officially available. But if you come across a sample or something, I would definitely recommend trying it!
