Teeeeeeeeee.
No, I’m not practicing the letter “T” in my title, but rather trying to scream my enthusiasm for tea out into the world so that you all catch it too!
Teeeeeeeeee.
Of course, I had to test this fragrance as well. And even though it’s warm again and the scent is actually an autumn or winter fragrance, I’m wearing it on this hot day so that you ungrateful lot… um, I mean you perfume lovers have something to read again.
Teeeeeeeeee.
You can smell the black tea a bit later. Unfortunately, not very strongly (nooooo!), but it’s there. It has a slightly bitter scent, and also delicious as always. Nutmeg is also present, and this note is about as strong or weak as the tea, I think maybe even a bit stronger.
A little later, the sweetness of the fragrance, which initially came from the cinnamon, is gradually replaced by amber. In the base, I feel that the tea does smell a bit stronger, which makes me a little happier :)
Later in the base, I again smell the ginger, the tea, and the amber more prominently. Now and then, the scent reminds me a bit of Five o’clock au gingembre by Serge Lutens, which I also find very lovely.
The longevity is okay; it lasts about seven hours or so, after which it quickly becomes weaker.
Teeeeeeeeee. (By the way, my tea shout always has the same number of “eeees,” feel free to check! :D).
So, before I continue writing, I’ll briefly complain, but this time not about you, but because the fragrance is lovely but has a somewhat low sillage (which I find a shame for an autumn or winter fragrance). This isn’t as bad as it might sound, but it would have been nicer if it could have filled the surroundings with its scent, he he.
Why is the fragrance called Night Garden anyway? I mean, yes, the days do get shorter in autumn and winter, so it gets dark faster, but Garden?? I have no idea, but lurking around in the garden at night, especially on colder days, seems rather suspicious to me. Either you’re trying to bury something that no one should see… or you’re looking for something you buried before (like a wonderful and expensive tea variety, to hide it from greedy relatives, so you can enjoy it in peace just for yourself :D)… or you’re just a weirdo freezing your butt off… but either way, in any of these situations, this wonderful fragrance fits perfectly, and of course for many others as well, even for going out, as it simply smells nice.
Anyone who likes tea and generally sweet scents with a hint of nutmeg and cinnamon should take a look here, especially since most fragrances from Crabtree & Evelyn are quite well-made fragrances (at least in my opinion).
So test it out, and enjoy a cup of tea with it (as always, please without milk unless you’re drinking chai or something! Yes! I’m learning!!), look out the window at how others are burying suspicious things in their gardens or just freezing their butts off, and hope that this year at least a little snow falls during Christmas… *sigh*

The Scent:
The fragrance starts with ginger, cardamom, and cinnamon, almost in exactly that order as it appears in the fragrance pyramid. I think ginger and cinnamon are the stronger notes. The beginning is really nice (and of course beautifully autumnal and wintry) and reminds me a little of the start of Burberry’s London for Men (probably because of the cinnamon). You can smell the black tea a bit later. Unfortunately, not very strongly (nooooo!), but it’s there. It has a slightly bitter scent, and also delicious as always. Nutmeg is also present, and this note is about as strong or weak as the tea, I think maybe even a bit stronger.

The Sillage and Longevity:
So, for a fragrance that I find autumnal, the sillage could have been a bit stronger. But it’s at least sufficient to be noticed by someone nearby, at least if you’re not too far away. The longevity is okay; it lasts about seven hours or so, after which it quickly becomes weaker.
The Bottle:
The bottle is rectangular and blue-violet. On the front, there is a dark blue label with a golden border, where the name and brand are visible. The neck and spray head are cylindrical and gold-plated. On top of this sits the rectangular and transparent cap. The bottle gives a high-quality impression, even though its design is rather “normal” without any special features. Teeeeeeeeee.
