An Overpriced Instant Crush
My first fragrance from this brand happens to be a dupe of Instant Crush.
I expected something completely different, but okay.
Right from the top notes, "Remember Me" directly reminds me of its inspiration.
I perceive a lot of saffron, just like in Instant Crush or Baccarat Rouge 540 Eau de Parfum.
The opening is quite intense and might be almost too much for some.
Quickly, cedarwood and a slight fruitiness join in.
Blood orange could fit, even though the note doesn’t seem particularly authentic.
After a while, jasmine also comes into play, but all the notes are almost present at the same time, so you actually perceive all the notes right from the start.
In the dry down, the fragrance remains surprisingly linear.
The notes stay almost the same, with amber adding a subtle sweetness.
But like in the original, saffron is the star of the show here as well.
I have no complaints about the performance.
The original is indeed a bit stronger, but "Remember Me" is also well noticeable in the first two to three hours before it becomes closer to the skin.
The fragrance is undoubtedly unisex (W55%/45%M), but do you really need it?
I don’t think so.
The quality is solid, but for just under 150 euros, I believe you might as well buy the original.
