The mountain calls or... An ode to the air
Air... air... air!
Yes, the element we need to live.
We are surrounded by air at all times We feel air, we experience it in every second of our being.

How nice that we perfume lovers can enrich our neutral air with fine fragrances.
We love beautiful fragrances that bring us memories, that give us feelings, that let us express something.

Representative of this is a special fragrance for me, which even has the word "air" in its name.
"Salt Air" by Demeter/The Library of Fragrance.
This fragrance is without a doubt a 10 out of 10 for me, covering everything that icg specifically expects from a perfume for me. It is warm and soft, yet freshly invigorating and incredibly versatile in its approach
I dedicate this poem to Salt Air before I turn to Mountain Air: D

Oh you fine salty air
Enchant me with your scent

So salty, warm and wonderful
So cuddly so inaccessible

Showing facets of your world
Show me what I like

You can be wild, be quiet anytime
You're there for me, always ready
Amen ;)

Yeah, that maybe a little over the top but so what? I just love Salt Air
So what could be more obvious than to test another "Air" scent from Demeter/TLOF?

So there she arrived, the bottle I ordered and eagerly awaited with mountain air as content.

Well, just to be clear. Mountain Air can't keep up with Salt Air for a second
This is because of one aspect that is decisive for me.
Mountain Air is - and now it gets a little strange - too much perfume.

Eh???? What does this weird guy with the sepia user picture mean by "too much perfume"?

Hahaha, of course I would understand such a reaction, but this page is all about perfume.

I am actually not at all a friend of comparing scents Here it looks a little different, however, Demeter/TLOF writes it to itself on the flag with her smells memories and experiences to mediate
Now, for God's sake, don't get me wrong "Mountain Air" is a really nice scent, but it is much too much perfume.

"Salt Air" for example, is in my eyes not a perfume, but an experience where you never have the feeling of having put on a fragrance, it goes with you.
He accompanies you on your way, is there and somehow not.

Mountain Air is without ifs and buts a perfume. Yes it is light and airy, yes it is never intrusive.
Yes, mountain air naturally smells different than salty air. Of course it always depends on the geographical location of the mountain. One thinks primarily of grasses, flowers, perhaps a small stream
All this you get here PLUS a synthetic floral note, which unfortunately pulls me out of the feeling of experiencing a natural fragrance here.

Wow, if I read it all again like this, I might get the impression that I don't like "Mountain Air".
I'm trying to tone that down.
This EdC is a wonderfully airy, flowery, fresh and watery companion.
In my opinion rather for ladies than unisex (but this has not clouded my judgement).

Taken by itself, you can't blame the scent.
But if you know Demeter's approach and scents where they didn't need artificial help, you'll be a little disappointed.

To return to the subject level:
The durability is above average for an Luftikus of this species, the Sillage is OK at best.

As a flower scent I think I have smelled ivy and cypress. But this is difficult to define, because, as I said before, one part seems quite synthetic.

I would rather recommend "Mountain Air" to ladies with a penchant for floral-airy fragrances with watery notes. Since there are many men who have no problem with floral scents, the following applies here... try it out!

Well, that's it :D So much talking for so little air ;)
