Ultra realistic melting chocolate
Wow! The opening of this unassuming little cheapie fragrance is the most realistic chocolate scent I have ever tried. It smells exactly the same as melting dark chocolate in a pot, like when you make brownies or chocolate fondue. Not the super dark 99% cacao type, just regular dark chocolate. There is a very light hint of something nutty in it, too, otherwise it's pure melting chocolate. If you're on a diet, smelling this will only make it harder, because it's so mouthwatering. I'm speaking from experience here!
The drydown is still nice, but not as impressive as the opening. Like many chocolate fragrances, it smells a bit like a chocolate scented candle to me. A little waxy. I have tried many more expensive chocolate perfumes that were more candle-like though. This one isn't too bad.
Overall I wouldn't buy this, but it was certainly a cool experience to try it. I think it would be a great layering tool to amp up the chocolate in other fragrances.
