Delicious scent, but not suitable for drinking!
Hey hey, how are you fragrance fanatics? I hope you are all doing well and staying healthy! It's still cold and sometimes wet, and one can easily catch a cold, but eventually, it will get warmer. Anyway, there has already been quite a bit of sunshine lately!
And as the saying goes? Next summer is definitely coming! Then everyone will once again do more or less silly things, like getting sunburned again, letting the meat turn to charcoal while grilling, or even, as is now customary every year, acting as a spreader of Corona, especially now that almost all restrictions are about to be lifted, and one might think: "Oh, all measures are gone, that means Corona is gone too. Now I can go out and finally lick everyone's eyeballs!" Ugh, how disgusting :DDD
But of course, summer also has its good sides, like casual gatherings with delicious cocktails, warm weather, plenty of sunlight during the day, less rain and mud (and I still want winter back for Christmas :D). Not to mention bikini babes, but unfortunately, I can't elaborate on that further, as all the perfumes would jump down my throat again because I always have such dirty thoughts, blah blah blah! Although,… if you at least bounced around in bikinis, that would be quite a sight… but okay,... I’ll be quiet now! Pfff… :D
But since I just mentioned cocktails, I come today to the fitting scent "Pina Colada" by Demeter. You know that Demeter primarily produces fragrances that are meant to imitate specific scents, and they often do a really good job at it. Sometimes they choose quite adventurous things, like "Lobster" (yes, exactly, lobster, and oh man, how that scent smells… :D), but sometimes also super delicious things like "Pistachio Ice Cream." And now comes "Pina Colada," which also sounds quite nice, so let's see how this scent turned out!
Anyway, the pineapple scent is nice and smells authentic (and quite delicious). Quickly, the alcoholic note comes to the forefront, which must be the rum.
Next, we have the coconut note, which does smell like coconut but also makes the scent a bit drier or rather stuffy. Coconut actually smells great, but unfortunately, it sometimes has the tendency to come off as a bit stuffy (somewhat similar to how fig scents can be).
A little later, the scent notes are too mixed together, so it starts to smell more like the cocktail, and you can no longer distinguish and identify the individual scent notes. The sweet scent then seemingly no longer comes from the pineapple but smells more like sugar or sugarcane. The coconut also diminishes a bit, so the stuffy quality goes away. And that’s it. The scent does not change further into the base and therefore smells as described, primarily sweet, somewhat creamy, and delicious.
There’s not much more to say about this scent. Thanks for reading, if you made it this far. I can well imagine that the ladies are once again on their way to me armed with shovels and pitchforks because I once again imagined jumping perfumes in bikinis… tsss… better come drink Pina Coladas with me, you beasts! :D
Well then, have a nice evening and see you next time :)

And now comes "Pina Colada," which also sounds quite nice, so let's see how this scent turned out!
The Scent:
The scent starts with a fruity-sweet pineapple note that you can easily smell. And no, folks, this is not Aventus… sorry, but with pineapple notes, I always have to mention that because you freaks (and I mean the gentlemen here for once!) can only think of Aventus by Creed when it comes to pineapple, argh! :DAnyway, the pineapple scent is nice and smells authentic (and quite delicious).
The scent does not change further into the base and therefore smells as described, primarily sweet, somewhat creamy, and delicious.
The Sillage and Longevity:
The sillage is rather mediocre, meaning that it is only somewhat detectable from a distance for a while. The scent lasts longer on the skin than a typical Demeter fragrance; for me, it lasted over six hours. The Bottle:
The bottle here is not as ugly as the standard Demeter bottle. The bottle itself is of course the same as always and certainly not high quality, as they have hundreds of fragrances on offer and therefore cannot produce the most high-quality bottles, especially since most scents are meant to imitate a specific fragrance rather than being a true perfume. But here, instead of the usual and completely ugly label, there is a nice label with a beautiful, vacation-like illustration. However… most editions of the scent are unfortunately still sold with the ugly standard label; I believe you just have to be lucky and hope to get the pineapple label version… :DConclusion:
So, Pina Colada definitely belongs to the nicer Demeter scents. If you like sweet rum fragrances, you might want to "stop by" here… or rather, let’s say "stop and sniff." Sure, the scent is quite simple, but theoretically, it is also one of those Demeter scents that could definitely be used as a "normal" perfume due to its sweetness, for example, for going out. The catch is that the scent quickly loses its projection, but maybe you could just quickly reapply if necessary… There’s not much more to say about this scent.
