The worst one out of the Loverdose line...
I love the original Loverdose, so I really wanted to try this. I already knew that the notes of Tattoo are very different compared to those of the original one, so I wasn't expecting them to smell alike.

Bear in mind that this was my first experience with the milk note in a perfume. My nose was not very experienced yet. Tattoo was extremely milky on me. But it's not a cool, fresh milk like I was anticipating. Instead it smelled more like baby formula or stale biscuits drenched in milk on me. The vanilla and rice were slightly noticeable as well, but the baby milk smell was definitely the most present. This fragrance probably would've been better if it had some spicy or sweet note.

Overall, I don't really care for Tattoo. I don't hate it, but it's not going on my like shelf either. If I had to classify this it would be a 'meh'. To my nose, this doesn't even smell like a perfume. It just gives baby formula vibes.

mild licorice
Today I had the honorable task of getting Loverdose for my cousin.
She lives in a rural idyll and doesn't have immediate access to fragrances - unlike me as a city kid.

Of course, I happily make the journey for her, especially since she generously allows me my own decision-making freedom.

Now it should be the Loverdose that I also appreciate.

But, alas, the dealer also offered me Tattoo to sniff.
The similarity between the original and the flanker is undeniable - both exude a pleasant sweetness, underlined by the licorice note, which is not listed for Tattoo.
Nevertheless, I perceive it, paired with tart blackcurrant and deep dark rose.
The tonka bean adds something enigmatic, wrapped in creamy milk.
Above all, jasmine gently and elegantly hovers.

Tattoo strikes me as more mature and less playful than Loverdose, and since my cousin can also look very elegant, the choice fell on Tattoo.

I hope I can score points with her with this lasting and expressive fragrance.

The Black Sheep in My Collection
...because it doesn't fit my usual preferences at all. I’m a girl who typically wears more subtle, fresh, and natural scents. And Loverdose Tatoo is anything but subtle. It has very good longevity; once I sprayed it before going to the swimming pool, and it was still noticeably present after several hours in and under the water. Hats off.

I also tip my hat to the bottle designer and the marketing team. Because if the advertising and the bottle hadn’t been so beautiful, I would have never touched this fragrance, given the terrible memories of its licorice-overloaded sister, the original Loverdose.
But I couldn’t hold back. So what if it’s not usually my thing? Rules are meant to be broken, right?

Loverdose Tatoo pleasantly surprised me. It might not be as rock 'n' roll as I would have expected from the advertising, but it is indeed very unusual, probably due to the rice in the base, which is rather unconventional, yet it works in combination with jasmine and orange blossom.
I associate the scent not with a fully tattooed, rebellious rocker girl, but rather with a young woman who has just one tattoo and knows exactly what she wants (and how to get it).
After a few minutes, the floral notes dominate for me, set against an innovative backdrop of rice and tonka bean.

It’s definitely worth breaking out of your usual preferences... this fragrance has proven that to me.

Tattoos and the Everyday Madness
As a tattoo enthusiast, I stumbled upon this perfume while passing by a miller. The advertising is very appealing and enticing. Following the motto - A beautiful back can also delight. The bottle is in a rich black. Shimmer included, when you turn it. Yes, it has something and looks good among all the others. Beautifully polished, really with edges and corners. Many beauties want to be like that nowadays, without losing their femininity. Therefore, the heart had to come - in a cursive script. Lo and behold, a really beautiful bottle that is not too kitschy and makes quite an impression when you skillfully take it out of your pocket and let the scent cloud envelop your body.

Enough raving about the bottle, let's get to the scent. I find it is not great perfume art, but certainly wearable if you want something sweet - smoky around you. I find it has a certain oriental touch, which, however, does not pull the perfume too strongly and pulsatingly into the depths. I would judge the rose as very delicate and cuddly. It is not the queen in the fragrance pyramid and skillfully but intentionally holds back. Too much rose would not do the scent any good, in my opinion. I find it has a slightly floral touch and is rather chic for the young ladies among us. Perhaps powdered roses and jasmine? It is definitely not heavy, rather a bit flowing on my skin. It doesn't make any big developments or leaps for me. The jasmine spreads quickly and clings to the wearer until the end. All this is skillfully caressed by vanilla, which gracefully and youthfully wraps around the tonka bean. I perceive the tonka bean as the strongest component in this scent. Perhaps it's just my perception and imagination, but the scent note is strongly present for me and stands out clearly.

The beginning is sweet, it slams onto the skin. At first, I thought I would feel nauseous from this sugar bomb, but it quiets down, becomes more fluid, and brings along a dark smoke that wraps itself in something powdery. The jasmine does it, and the tonka bean rounds it off. I couldn't quite identify milk. And what does rice even smell like? Does it have a certain note? I can't imagine anything more than rice pudding. But I can't catch any rice pudding in the scent anywhere.

Personally, I believed, based on the advertising, that this perfume would really pack a punch and those who peek under the wearer's skirt would get a smack on the head. However, what a disappointment! With skirts, sex, and rebellion, this perfume has as little to do as my grandmother with smartphones. So basically nothing at all. Tattoos and Loverdose Tattoo - somehow it doesn't fit. Only the bottle can identify with a tough leather jacket and rocker outfit, but the rest fits more into a youthful evening dress that goes slightly above the knee. The hairstyle neatly pinned back, a small braid on the side, and a sweet, radiant smile... The perfume definitely suits that. For a woman with tattoos, with a piercing here and there, in black skinny jeans and a leather jacket? - No way! It is too fluid and too quiet for that. I would have preferred more wobbly contacts and AHA effects. It is too perfect for the bad girl image. Perfect in the sense of, I am just nice. Nice is my neighbor. Nothing more and nothing less. The scent also conveys this to men. "Nothing special but has a nice floral touch!" - comment from a colleague.

What a pity, I had imagined pure pleasure. A perfume that rebels - sets itself apart skillfully and dresses strongly and representatively. Tattoos were once frowned upon, but today they belong to every age - or every profession. They have arrived, but they always remain on that one black wave, connected with rock and roll, sex, the color black, loud and strong characters who want to stand out a bit. Something mysterious about themselves...

Unfortunately, the perfume does not convey that. It is as ordinary as most and has no recognizability. For hard, pulsating, and rough nights? Better not! For that, you should reach for leathery and dark scents that want to plunge the mood into the depths without dragging the personality into darkness to attract attention. This one is more for dinner with the in-laws or with a not-so-mature young man.

Tattoos and the everyday madness - well packaged, but the inside doesn't quite succeed. Where is the rebel perfume that resists? Where is the perfume that emphasizes the personality of a woman who openly showcases her cool tattoos and is so proud to have something on her skin that not everyone has?

Finding it will be difficult - but the madness in the search should not be lost sight of.

In this sense, my dears, enjoy your evening. Perhaps you can recommend something leathery, rough, and smoky that fits the rocker style without being masculine.

Vacation Memories
We were on our second vacation together. In October, we headed to the Canary Islands - Gran Canaria - wanting to escape the cold for a bit. Strolling along the promenade, we enjoyed the warm rays of the sun. Of course, the heart of every perfume enthusiast beats faster when the gaze falls upon a small perfumery on the promenade. Small, cute, inviting, the shop opens its arms. Grinning broadly, you walk straight towards it and are warmly welcomed by the staff. Since I didn't have anything specific in mind, I tested a few fragrances that had been on my wish list for a while.
But none of them impressed me.
Finally, my gaze fell on the purple heart. I recognized it, but personally, it was way too much licorice for me. However, right next to it was this heart, only in black. Look at that. Should the scent be darker, and is smoky licorice waiting for me? Since there was no internet to help with the scent notes, the fragrance was quickly sprayed directly onto my wrist. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
A cautious sniff immediately revealed 'no licorice'! Wow. No, this one isn't darker either, although the color promised something different. The impression is spicy sweet. I love blackcurrant anyway. Spicy, expansive orange blossom and a fresh vanilla pod, boiled in hot milk. How delicious! And it is harmonious. Nothing screams, nothing pushes itself to the forefront. It is a sweet, spicy cloak. Too warm for summer? Far from it. This one works in summer too. But please be careful with the dosage. I wander through the store with it, sniffing my wrist again and again - not wanting to encounter any unpleasant surprises. No, it remains delicious. Orange blossom, vanilla, and milk. The scent doesn't have a big development, and that doesn't bother me. The impression is enough for me.
For it to come with me, it still had to convince my boyfriend's nose. He raised an eyebrow skeptically, as if to say 'wait, seriously, another one?' but yes, he had to sniff this one too, and this time he didn't make a face in total rejection like before, but rather stuck his nose to the scent. Accompanied by a vigorous nod, I received a short "yeah" as approval to take it with me.
Every time I wear it since then, I am instantly transported back to vacation, to the promenade of Gran Canaria.

The bottle is pretty, even though I'm not really into hearts. The longevity is top-notch; the scent accompanies me through an 8-hour workday and lingers afterwards as warm vanilla milk on my skin.

Smells like a Gentle Angel tastes like alcohol. Sweet orange juice, vanilla ice cream, and cream, topped with sparkling wine and a wafer. Reminds me of Black Opium.

For me, the best Loverdose. Milk with a pleasant jasmine note, tonka, and vanilla. Rose and bergamot also come through.

Quite floral after the zesty start. Sometimes it stays that way, sometimes it gets a bit sweet - miles away from gourmand. A strange base on me.

Instead of a tattoo, for me it's more like a grown-up maturity statement; it doesn't feel young and fresh, but rather shows superiority.

Flowery-banal mainstream with a bit of synth. "Rice steam" on artificial flower mush. Neither rock nor sexy, just pleasingly sweet-nice.

Like a cup of warm cocoa. Not really bad, but you have to like it. The authentic milk scent makes me feel a bit nauseous.

Pleasant = Orange blossom + Mandarin = Nectar-orange = sweet, warm. A bit of milk = creamy, light = Tonka + Vanilla. H/S okay. Feminine.
Too bad = Discontinued.
