It's Friday morning...
... i've just come out of the shower. I go into the kitchen where there is a bouquet of lavender and roses on the wooden table. I make myself an espresso and slice up a grapefruit, which I sprinkle with a little sugar. The citrusy freshness just hits my nose and really wakes me up.

When you apply this fragrance, the first thing you notice is a sweet, fruity scent, which then takes on a very brief citrusy tang but disappears just as quickly as it arrived. Floral and woody accords are mixed in. It then takes on something clean and warm with a very slight metallic accent. This combination gives the fragrance a masculine touch.

The durability and silage are good.

Here, Diesel has launched a slightly masculine men's fragrance that can be worn well from the age of 18. I can also imagine this fragrance for women. It can be worn in spring, summer, fall and also in winter. During the day it is a companion at school, at university, in the office, over a coffee with friends or simply on a walk. For the evening, I can really only imagine wearing it for a meal, in a bar or as a couple, as it is not very intense.

If you like a sweet, fruity, citrusy, floral, woody, clean, warm, metallic, masculine fragrance, I think you're in good hands here. It is not intrusive but also not too discreet.

A great everyday fragrance
Diesel D Red doesn't do anything very special, but it doesn't do anything very wrong either.
It is simply a fragrance that you can always wear and, as so often in the designer segment, has a certain shower gel character. The whole thing even has a very slight "old school" touch.

There are certain similarities to a Yves Saint Laurent Y. It is probably due to this aldehyde-lavender mix that can be found in both fragrances.
This clean, soapy character in particular is very similar.
The fragrance also has similarities to Lattafa Malik Al Tayoor Concentrated. I own it myself and it has similar vibes and scent impressions.

In general, Diesel D Red is, as just mentioned, a thoroughly clean and slightly soapy fragrance due to the aldehydes.
It also has a certain fresh DNA with shower gel character and, not to forget, it also has that classic shower gel designer sweetness. Towards the end, more and more woody traits are added.

The fragrance is definitely more masculine and belongs in the men's theme.
The performance is solid.

Hey, I know him!

I came home on a chilly Friday evening with no energy. The day dragged on like old chewing gum, and all I could think about was a relaxing weekend. When I opened the letterbox, I saw a small, elegant parcel. It was a sample of the perfume "D Red" by Diesel. Intrigued, but with a hint of suspicion, I carried the package upstairs.

When I arrived home, I carelessly threw my keys on the table and tried to open the sample pack. The package rustled under my fingers, and finally I took out a small, simple sample. I hesitated for a moment and then hesitantly sprayed it on. The scent that enveloped me was unexpectedly captivating with its old-fashioned yet fresh notes. I felt transported back to the 1990s.

As soon as the fragrance touched my senses, I realized I was in another world. It was as if I had been transported back in time. I was in a hairdressing salon furnished with wooden furniture. The room was filled with the deep, calming scent of lavender, which was sprayed on the customers after their haircut and shave. This scent also combined with the smell of the many pieces of wooden furniture in the room.

There was a relaxed atmosphere in the store. Middle-aged men sat in heavy wooden chairs with leather upholstery, supporting themselves with their experienced hands. The barber, a lean man with a neatly trimmed moustache, treated each customer with an almost ritual courtesy.
I sensed a strange distance between us, as if I were both a spectator and a participant. I approached the hairdresser and asked him if this fragrance was the new "D Red" by Diesel. He looked confused, as if I was speaking a foreign language. He narrowed his eyes doubtfully.

I tried to explain to him that this fragrance was just like the one in the store, a bit traditional and a bit modern. But the more I said, the harder his gaze became. Finally, he gestured towards the door and asked me to leave. I staggered out, still surrounded by the mysterious scent.

Suddenly, as if awakened from a dream, I returned to my apartment. I stood there with the sample in my hand, feeling strangely lost, but glad that it was over. The scent awakened something in me, a longing for a time I had never experienced, as I was born in 1996 and was still learning to walk in those years.

Determined to share this strange but fascinating experience, I sat down at my computer. I began to write about my experience on Parfumo. I talked about my visit to the hair salon, the hairdresser's strange reaction and how this bizarre but unusual scent transported me to another time and place.

A quick summary: very simple, a little old-fashioned, a little modern, more of a fragrance for people over 30. I perceive a kind of "vintage lavender" with a "modern" woody note.

Red everyday life
Servus briefly summarized:
About the fragrance:
Spicy grapefruit, pleasantly sweet..
On the development:
Develops very long..needs to unfold perfectly (≈1-2 hours)
For classification:
Masculine sweet fits well into everyday life,
is not intrusive but you already know that you are in the room... rather a fragrance for more sporty people or professional fields that do NOT have to do with a suit wearer..it is not formal enough for that.
All in All:
I think it's good, DIESEL has come up with something good again..you can take it with you. :)
