a "why bother?" fragrance

There's nothing unpleasant about Dior Sweet Sun. It's a musky skin scent with hints of ginger and tiare that seems like it would be an appropriate scent for an expensive sunblock or moisturizing cream. I don't get any citrus at all from it. One could approximate this scent with a very light spray of Estee Lauder Azuree Soleil on a well-lotioned arm.

It's supposed to be a "well-being fragrance" (eau de bienfait) without alcohol, so that one can wear it in the sun. I've never noticed being photosensitized by other scents, and I don't know whether this is an issue for others. If it is an issue, couldn't a person avoid this problem by choosing a scent that doesn't stain and spraying it on clothes instead of skin? Did this not sell well because it was trying to solve a problem that doesn't exist? I really don't know.

A Summer Dream

Spray it on and mentally transport yourself to the warm sandy landscape by the sea. A light summer breeze caresses tanned skin. You can hear the voices of children and the loud laughter of people playing Frisbee. My nose is teased by delightful scent notes: in my hand, I hold a refreshing, slightly sweet cocktail of mandarins, a dozen meters away, jasmine, Tiaré, and orange trees are in bloom. My curiosity is piqued: Where does the vanilla and coconut scent come from, with a hint of light spice, but so shy and discreet that you gladly invite it as a companion? I want to keep dreaming of the moment.

Conclusion: A fine, subtle companion for summer with relatively good longevity and noticeable, pleasant, but not overwhelming sillage. More of a fragrant cocktail than a perfume - can be applied generously, even for the beach (as it is alcohol-free).

It's a shame, really a shame, that such a beautiful scent of summer hasn't been expanded to larger quantities. Because this fragrance has the potential to become a go-to in the hot months. It radiates sunlight and feels very carefree and deeply relaxing. You are gently caressed time and again by lukewarm water, and the wind lies hazy in the shade of the sand, whispering softly to itself. You immediately feel the Caribbean vibe after applying it. Mentally, you're in a hammock under palm trees, on a white beach. Accompanied by a fruity cocktail. The sun on your bare, tanned skin. This is how you enjoy under the tropical sun. And even if you are not lying under it, your mind plays beautiful tricks that are all associated with vacation. The scent indeed has that power. Especially when it comes to relaxation and summer. It allows us to sink deeply into our thoughts.

Bronze Sweet Sun smells of fruity cocktails, warm sand, and sea. Plus, a light touch of Tiare - sunscreen that quickly becomes lukewarm on the brown skin and directly absorbs into it. There isn't much to say about the overall progression, except that there must be some coconut in it, as it definitely often appears alongside the vanilla, which presents itself very sweetly and caresses the senses. It is indeed a scent that smells like sunscreen products and can only really shine in the summer. It is definitely not made for other weather conditions. And certainly not for bad moods, because here you simply have to let the sun into the silent, dusty chamber of your soul. There’s simply no other choice.

Dior's sweet sun doesn't last, as expected. The sillage is very restrained and meant only for oneself. These sunscreen scents tend to have that quality, and of course, when you sweat like crazy, even the most vibrant scents fade away. I had never held the bottle in my hand and only saw it on YouTube and various platforms. It looks quite chic and simple. I can't stand all the fuss around summer on various products anyway. The bottle is a true relief for the eyes, and the color it's presented in fits perfectly. A warm orange that blends with the background landscape. Like the sea with the white beach.

Bronze Sweet Sun makes me happy not only during the day and makes me swoon. Even at night, you feel beautifully embraced and carefree. A walk with the scent on your warm body, which has just stood under the cool shower. The moon illuminating everything and stretching itself laughing over the landscape. A true feeling of happiness. Midnight dreams that quietly fade into the night. Out of the mind, full of worries. All problems blown away. As if someone had used your head as a dandelion. I don't need to tell you much more. Close your eyes and let the waves rush past your head.

Warm as Sunrays on Tanned Skin

I have been searching for a warm sun scent for a long time, one that smells like sunscreen, and after a long search, it suddenly stood before me! I saw the name Bronze and reacted to it unconsciously! I sprayed it on and was immediately smitten, because I had found IT - my summer sunscreen scent! And yes, I have an obsession with sunscreen, the warm, vanillic, and at the same time exotic scent combined with wonderful memories of vacation days, beach, sand, the smell of saltwater in my nose, and SUN! I love summer vacations, and this perfume reminds me of that and also makes me think of my favorite places in the warm south on colder days!
I just sprayed it on again, and it simply makes me happy... I try to describe it: at first, it smells fruity, but not fresh and zesty fruity, rather warm fruity, and then slowly an exotic note like coconut comes through, and I also smell jasmine - sensual and warm, which ultimately transitions into a great warmth - an oily warmth of vanilla and musk! Yes, I am in love with this multifaceted warmth that shows a fruity, an exotic, and a very sensual face!
The scent and the individual notes deserve 100% ... well, unfortunately, there is also a small drawback: I don't need an "Extra" sun scent, which is described as EAU DE BIENFAIT PARFUMÉE sans (without) Alcohol or care scent! This means that it is not very strong and the longevity leaves something to be desired! Why can't there be a stronger sunscreen warmth? And must summer scents always be fruity light? Here I must also express my disinterest in Jil Sander's SUN, because for me this is not a sunscreen scent, even if one must credit it with its longevity, strength, and warmth, yet IT is simply lacking!
All in all, I simply love the scent of Sweet Sun, and I was also close to buying a second and thus the last bottle, and I wanted to ask about the almost full tester! However, I have left that for now... until now, my spontaneous purchase action speaks for the scent, because I have never done something like this with a perfume before, and it holds quite well for "such a" summer scent - even if I have to spray a lot! If one smells very close to the sprayed "spots," one definitely perceives the scent, but why can't it be perceived when someone sits next to me or walks past me? I could evoke in others those summer feelings, the warmth of tanned skin, and sensuality, and at least make them a little happier for a moment :) I could be their SUMMER, perhaps a warm evening on the beach....

Yes, it is a fine and cute scent of sun, beach, and vacation. However, I also smell coconut, which is not listed here. But of course, coconut belongs to a proper vacation.*gg*

Mainly, I notice the fruity notes, which are beautifully underlaid by a nice creamy and soft note that feels very cozy.
The ginger and the Tiare make the scent even more exotic. The vanilla is fine and predominates in the base.
Overall, a lovely fragrance with weak longevity.
