Sickly Sweet Souffle
It opens with a nice brightness from the Bergamot. With a Sweet, creamy Jasmine, Rose and Tuberose floral heart which I like. But with the vanilla and Cinnamon base it pushes this too sweet and has a sickly make up esq edge to it. Too girly and high street smelling. I expected better from their private range.

Silk for the Soul
In “Souffle de Soie,” they have found themselves: all the fragrance notes necessary to create a wonderful scent painting in pastel.
Under the brush of François Demachy, this work of art made of flowers, resins, and apparently also spices has been added to the Collection Privée Christian Dior.

For on my skin, more than just the three mentioned floral goddesses meet.
A hint of freshness (probably again from the inevitable bergamot) makes these three graces-rose, jasmine, and tuberose-appear particularly graceful: they have sought each other out, intertwined, and welcomed something smoky and resinous into their circle.
Very elegant, soft, and unobtrusive yet very present, a fine scent fabric emerges: at this moment already expressive yet still delicate.
Light-footed and tastefully thought out, “Souffle de Soie” presents itself: A fragrant veil lays over the skin and develops, over the usual longevity time for this brand, a warm and earthy-sensual note, finely balanced and leading to this silky caress of the soul.
Fragrant caresses, the composition of which I do not wish to know too precisely.
Patchouli and a vanilla-musk combination reveal themselves to me; over everything else, so sensually pleasing, I let the veil of mystery remain, which I simply grant to Monsieur Demachy: After all, I trust him, and he has rarely disappointed me so far!
Not everything needs to be unraveled: This charming and wearable overall composition delights me, and that is perfectly sufficient for me.

The fragrance personality of “Souffle de Soie” harmonizes with my being, and I feel once again the influence of Christian Dior: His great love for flowers, with which he so loved to dress and adorn people, no matter in what form.

François Demachy has created here, following in the footsteps of the Maître, truly softly breathing silk in scent form, which clings and thus becomes a charming companion throughout the day, which I particularly welcome today, as I still feel somewhat lost.

Creamy, Delicate Embrace
Souffle de Soie begins with a feather-light citrus note that barely makes an impression and immediately transforms on my skin into a softly floral, delicately creamy finest embrace with jasmine, rose, and tuberose. A strong pinch of pepper briefly greets you, likely from elemi resin, and the olfactory beauty bids farewell after an astonishing 8 hours with musk and vanilla.

Souffle de Soie has a certain DNA from Gris Dior and Dioramour, which I also have in my collection. Gris Dior is more present, rosier, and mossier. Dioramour features more jasmine in the foreground and includes iris. All three fragrances are unique and wonderful. However, Souffle de Soie is shyer, more sensitive in comparison, and I personally appreciate this restraint even more. Jasmine, rose, and tuberose can quickly become overwhelming, even complicated and unpleasant in fragrances. Here, François Demachy skillfully created a velvety soft version. A beautiful scent doesn’t always have to shout and can also have a subtle presence. Less is more.

Color: white-pink
Target audience: beautiful female souls or bold men with confidence
Fragrance type: creamy-powdery-floral
Emotion: loving
Season: spring-summer
Occasion: always, always, and always
In my own words: It’s nice that the fragrance is not so well-known and popular here. That way, it feels like it can only belong to me :-)

Sex, Rose and Flower Power?
Souffle de Soie, the third fragrance from Maison Christian Dior that I had under my nose. It is sometimes quite remarkable how many different scents there are in collections that you think you know. This collection was surprisingly large for me. Since the two flagship scents, Ambre Nuit and Bois D´Argent, overshadow a lot, it's easy to overlook something here. Of course, it was these two that drew my attention to the collection. Since I recently decided to get a 40ml bottle for myself, the lovely perfume user who sent me the fragrance included the accompanying samples. Thank you very much if you are reading this :-)

Among them were Souffle de Soie and Oud Ispahan, to which I will also add a comment. The former was immediately tested and inspected, meaning I called up the corresponding page here in the forum and looked at what to expect. It was described as a very floral scent that should exhibit certain qualities. I am not necessarily a fan of floral fragrances, as the notes often feel "too floral" to me and quickly become overwhelming in the nose. This clearly has to do with my aversion to overly dry rose tones and any kind of geranium and magnolia.
The rose, which I have an issue with when used too strongly, is indeed listed, but one could read from the statements that this note holds back a bit and has been well integrated.

I had already written a statement about the fragrance, which wonderfully ambiguously encompasses the scent and outlines it in its entirety. The start has a very harmonious engagement with the theme of flowers. It smells like a long walk through the cold hall full of flowers in the garden center. So pleasantly mixed, so delicately balanced, and yet somewhat stuffy. Even though it sounds strange, there is a note that smells like a freshly sharpened pencil, which does not harm the fragrance at all.
As time goes on, this pencil note increasingly fades, so that it is no longer perceivable. From then on, no further development is noticeable on my skin. This is also not necessary, as the aromatic quality of the fragrance is wonderful and finely balanced. For such a floral scent, it is remarkably restrained; no note overshadows the other - a festive bouquet of fragrant blossoms.

Although I tested this fragrance as a man, I do not find it wearable for myself. It clearly suits a woman better, as there are already quite feminine traits evident. Because the scent also appears somewhat more composed and expressive, I imagine it more on a woman between 30 to 50 years old. (Personal feeling!)

At the beginning, the fragrance also shows that it offers endless flower power. The flowers radiate around you as if you have laid down in a bed of them. After some wear time, however, the projection diminishes a bit and no longer overwhelms those around you. The longevity is also very good, as you can easily get through your workday with it and still enjoy the scent at the end of the day. Since I have hardly tested any floral fragrances so far, I cannot give myself a reference point on whether this is already good for this type of scent.

So ladies, feel free to try it out :-)

P.S. The rating is solely based on the fact that the fragrance is not wearable for me personally. If it had shown influences that are more unisex, it would probably have received an 8.5.

Light, harmless floral scent that for me elevates the classification from "liquid" to "superfluous" in this range. Quantity over quality?

The blossoms cling like a silk scarf. Warm + creamy despite the freshness. Subtle rose. Delicate resins. Noble + elegant. Skin-soft. Beautiful!

Silent longing, gentle touch, softly flowing memory...liquid love.
Delicate, fragile, yet present. A work of art in the notes.

There's definitely more to it than just the three supposed troublemaker flowers. Elegant spicy-floral scent with vintage appeal. Very elegant!

Incredibly beautiful scent. I can really smell the rose here. All the notes are so delicate and unobtrusive. Great spring fragrance.
