Blind Test #6: Fruit Candy with Cream Swirl.
Need a little break from work? My head is spinning, I need a small change of pace, plus I haven't worn any perfume today! I wonder if my boss would accept that as an excuse?
Still, I treat myself to 5 minutes of fresh air and grab the second-to-last blind sample from my Easter gift package: Sample 7, with an inconspicuous beige liquid.
Light creamy flowers, fine fruity acidity. I immediately think of a basket full of quinces. Again, bright tones. A muted squeaky orange, if that makes any sense. Like a glass of multivitamin juice with a splash of milk, only nothing curdles here. Like fruit candy with cream swirl. A fruity cream shampoo. Natural scenes hardly come to mind, just these individual images. Still lifes of fruits in woven baskets on checkered tablecloths with little bouquets of flowers beside them. Green pears, apples, freesias, that sort of thing. After 4 hours, the whole fun is over.
I’m guessing it’s a designer fragrance from the women's section. Always wearable. Spring fruity. Nothing wild. Mass appealing crowd-pleaser, you know what I mean. A scent you can wear to work without bothering colleagues or clients, yet keeps you feeling fresh and well-scented with appropriate re-spraying. And even here, I have to say upon repeated application: it feels familiar! Haven't I somehow said that about every blind sample so far?
As a "Be Delicious (Eau de Parfum) | DKNY / Donna Karan" flanker or as a member of the large Green Tea Eau Parfumée family, it wouldn’t stand out either. And I like it enough that I’m considering wearing it seriously in my daily life.
