Wow Factor
I love the fragrance Sunflowers Eau de Toilette and also its offshoot Sunflowers Sunlight Kiss. Since then, I've always been curious about new offshoots and eager to see how they turn out. I found some good ones that were allowed to stay for a season. Only a few, however, became "good friends". But another one could join the ranks.
As soon as the fragrance hit the market, I tested it, but I just couldn't warm up to it. I was in the mood for fresh scents. Now, with warmer temperatures, I tested the fragrance again in hopes that it would work this time.
The beginning is light, like the old lady from Cologne 4711, classic. Not one of the 1001 variations. Yikes, that's already critical for me. Shortly after, the synthetic blasts hit you hard in the face. Tiare comes in strong and gets a touch of coconut. But Tiare is not shy and pushes the nut blossoms aside. Grandma 4711 also joins in, but rather aggressively. Vanilla and musk try to calm things down with cedarwood, but only partially succeed. 4711 gives up, and the trio of Tiare, coconut, and vanilla (unfortunately reminiscent of baking aroma) dominates until the end.
My nose tricked me into a time travel to the 70s when everything that is impossible today was possible. As intense as the fragrance is, that’s how the sunscreens smelled back then-intrusive and loud. No, Arden could have sent better fragrances into the race so far. Probably, vanilla had to be included because it’s IN.
Anyone who likes loud oriental fragrances and oud will be well served with this scent, which is often available at a good price during promotions. The wearer will definitely stand out, as the "sillage" announces her presence, and when she’s gone, her absence, thanks to the very decent longevity.
However, this was not an offshoot of Sunflowers Eau de Toilette, but an independent fragrance that only shares the bottle design and name.
Since I particularly dislike loud scents, especially in the height of summer, it unfortunately won't be joining my collection. What a pity...
