Today Tom Ford is deservedly a measure for good taste and success. Although we often tend to forget he has to draw inspiration from somewhere. To me he found inspiration for his Tom Ford for Men right in this German Escada. The bottle is almost copied, and the scent has the same settled masculinity found in Escada.
This Escada is legendary for good reason, subtle undoubtful, yet so sensitive masculinity. The sentimental virility very rare in today's perfumery. Opening is old school, with lots of strong orange, lavender and some liqueur boozy accord. It gets complicated with cinnamon, cardamom, caraway and bay leaf. Finally masterful base of sweet tonka, sandalwood and musk. Like I've been touched by stardust.

unfortunately another precious discontinued stone in perfumery world and this one smell elegance ,allure and class in all his forms .what a man can ask more in a fragrance born to make him feel sexier than ever .. absolutely fantastic

Escada pour Homme it is just there, standing, not trying to prove anything.

A very elegant dry classic scent, a bit alcohol on opening, but then it is better. It is very well balanced with dominant notes of quality spirits, perhaps cognac notes similar to Nivea cream and some woody vanilla notes in the base.

What is alluring to me, that sometimes you barely fell it from your skin but at the same time it can fill the whole room.

The Eau de Parfum in the golden spray bottle was my favorite scent when I met my first girlfriend - which makes me smile a bit today. In any case, "Escada pour Homme" seemed to leave no one indifferent - I have never received so many compliments, but also so much criticism for a fragrance that I wore!

The fragrance direction is oriental-spicy, the scent feels very lush and balsamic, it can perhaps be most closely compared to the later released "L'Instant pour Homme" by Guerlain or even Courvoisier. The grand aura is certainly unique and always impressive - however, only if one can come to terms with the intended artificiality of this fragrance, as Escada strikes me as somewhat affected and slightly chemical. But that is not a point of criticism, rather it is the theme of this fragrance, which is designed for the urban dandy.

The only downside: Escada feels a bit "angular." This may be due to the piercing aldehyde top note, which makes the scent seem slightly unharmonious. But it does have a quirky character and sets itself apart from many designer fragrances that make you smell like you've just stepped out of the shower.

The cognac in the top note emerges in interplay with the allspice, a pleasant start. The scent remains pleasant, subtly masculine with a light vanilla base, without slipping into overly sweet or becoming intrusive.
Not love at first sight, but it has the potential to become one of my favorite perfumes.
