The ONE!
I cannot say much enough about how much i care and love this fragrance. Out of hundreds i own this is probably the only one that got me compliments from both men and women at any occasion i would wear it. Men would ask me about the name, so they could buy it for their spouses, women wondered what smells so opulent and nice.... If i would have to give up all of my perfumes but keep one, then this would be The One! I never want to run out of it and i will never stop buying it. To me this is one of the very few perfectly balance white florals that can be worn any season, any time of the day, any occasion and it would smell amazing. I am not that old enough to remember when it was launched and somehow back in the 90´s i overlooked it (was more into fresh aquatics and floral-fruities), and i only discovered it when it was discontinued and instantly fell in love. I love the smell of Hyacinth so that is why i love this fragrance so much cause to me it is the most dominant note in here. But in general it is so perfectly blended that i do not care about the notes, i just adore the scent itself overall. The EDP is the best, but fr summer i prefer the EDT as well, since it is less intense and more suitable for summer, but both are stunners!
Love, love, love!!!

Endless volumes of syrup with a predictable ending
Once the redundant bergamot and lime intro flies off, Margaretha Ley is revealed in all her sugar coated orange blossom and ylang ylang glory, eating canned peaches - in a nail parlour.

It's actually not bad - while the florals hold up - but these soon decay to reveal a heart so massively sweet that even Barbara Cartland might have found it schmaltzy.

Then comes the long slow descent into the banal, and slightly awry, oriental drydown.

No, can't do
It's a powerhouse white floral. I can't do white florals.
It's so strong and heavy and thick it must be an oriental. I can't do orientals.
It stays wet and creamy. It's very long lasting.
It went to my girlfriend.

And You Must Make of Asafoetida Your Friend...
There's no getting around the fact that ESCADA is a major stinker. Big time 1980s personality, this creation--a second or third cousin to CK ETERNITY--was born in 1990, just when the atmosphere above women was beginning to become so clouded with the stench of powerhouse perfumes that entire anti-perfume movements were brewing on the horizon. At all strata of society, people were quietly conspiring to wage war against THE ENEMY.

Not only did various groups and companies begin to implement "no perfume policies," but entire lines of fragrance appear to have taken their inspiration from the stinkers--as negative role models. Hence was born the skin scent, the "I just took a shower frag," and the inoffensive office fruity-floral frag. This reaction was very similar, in fact, to the manner in which Nietzsche claims we derived what he calls our prevailing "slave morality." 'Twas but a ressentiment-infused reaction of the weak against the strong.

It was more than just that people were literally gasping for breath. They also felt violated, victimized, as though their bodily space, their very tissues had been invaded, as though perfume was being forced upon them in the way that second-hand smoke used to be in virtually every restaurant and bar.

Times have changed, but if you're looking for an asafoetida-rich oriental, ESCADA may work for you. If ETERNITY happens to be on your regular rotation, I suspect that you'd also like ESCADA--in fact, you most likely have a bottle! Just make sure when you wear these potions that the perfume police are nowhere within sniffing range!!!!
