Tropical Fruit Salad with Lots of Mango
“Sunset Heat” is certainly also - like all the LEs since “Tropical Punch” (2001) - a “sweet fruit punch” - however, in my opinion, it is one of the best from the series.

It reminds me of a tropical fruit salad with particularly lots of mango, as this characteristic, slightly tart scent note of the tropical fruit is well highlighted here and is quite authentically done, when I compare it to other mango fragrances. The other fruit notes, on the other hand, are hardly identifiable individually.

Of course, SH has a certain sweetness, but it does not come off as overly sweet and by no means synthetic.
It does not undergo any development over time, but that doesn’t matter - it is simply a tropical-fruity feel-good scent for warm and hot summer days.

For My Fragile Soul

Actually, I tend to prefer "serious" fragrances: spicy orientals and florientals from the eighties, unruly chypres that you have to delve into to appreciate, and the old aldehydic classics.
And yet, I have a few of those fruity-sweet Escada summer fragrances with their gaudy bottles in my collection. I must admit, these kitschy colorful bottles have caught my eye, and since I also plan to have a nice large display case for my empty bottles, they naturally stood out to me. A little kitsch can be nice... and now and then, a lighthearted cheerful fragrance.
Most fruity-sweet fragrances are too sweet for me, too cheap-smelling, too sugary, too childish. I have to say that the older Escada summer fragrances rank the most positively in this area for my taste. Sunset Heat from 2007 is one of those representatives. A light-hearted "feel-good" scent for hot summer days. When I just want to wear an uncomplicated fragrance or comfort my inner little girl. Often enough, one has to be strong, brave, hold it together, persevere... And then there are simply moments when you just want to be allowed to be weak and not always have to be strong. And for that, you need a simple fragrance. The concept of the Escada summer fragrances is straightforward: each year, a different fruit theme mixed into a fruit cocktail. For Sunset Heat, it’s a mango-peach cocktail. Unfortunately, pineapple and lemon get lost, at least I can’t sniff them out. The mango is just too dominant. A bit of coconut joins in as well. All in all, a well-made mango scent, sweet but bearable, no candy sweetness.
The sillage is in the medium range, and the longevity of about 4 hours is also not bad for a fruity fragrance. I think too much sillage would be too much for me with the fruitiness as well. I find the older Escadas are well-crafted fruity scents. Sometimes I just need something like that.

Exotic Fruits
~ Inspiration ~
I simply can't get past Escada - the often kitschy, colorful bottles catch your eye immediately, and so far, I have really enjoyed the fragrances.

~ Bottle ~
Vibrant. The colors red, orange, and yellow reflect a sunset, which is also where the name "Sunset Heat" comes from. It somehow also reminds me of a popsicle.

~ Scent ~
Pineapple, mango, papaya, and lemon give it a fruity, zesty, and sweet opening. Added to this are peach, hibiscus flower, coconut, and sandalwood - although the woody component is not noticeable, it only contributes to a successful finish.

~ Longevity ~
On my skin, it lasts surprisingly long for a fruity scent, about 7 hours (a bit longer on clothing and hair).

~ Occasion ~
The fragrance is perfect for hot summer days! It reminds me of fruit cocktails, sun, beach, and conveys absolute vacation vibes and good mood.

~ Conclusion ~
Escada is known for its sugary sweet summer fragrances, and I like the playful style.
By the way, I discovered an affordable alternative at Rossmann: Jeanne Arthes - Love Generation Pink.

For Hot Summer Evenings
We are definitely talking about a fragrance that can also withstand icy winter days. Typical Escada! The scent is super sweet and fruity, yet, with the right dosage, not necessarily overwhelming.

The bottle looks exactly like the fragrance smells. You can almost taste the fruits, and all in all, this perfume reminds you of a warm evening at the beach. You watch the setting sun, the waves wash small shells onto the shore... and you sit there, having a picnic, with a huge fruit basket and lemonade. In the background, the music of the beach party plays...

It's a pity that I don't like beaches.

Fruits, Fruits, Fruits
this is my world!

thank you, Wölfin!

I love it from the very first moment. "indulge"

A lot of mango and other tropical fruits.

The mango is spot on here, as I have had others where the mango smelled very spoiled or artificial.

The sweetness is natural in this fragrance and corresponds to ripe fruits.

Like a fruit salad of yellow-orange fruits, not too sweet. For me, one of the most beautiful Escada LEs.

I used to love it, but today it just screams at me. And throws undefined fruit in my face.
