Do it right, do it good
I have long pondered what a fitting title for this fragrance could be. From a mating-ready, tame Indian forest cat to an oriental spice cookie... but sandalwood cookie captures it quite well.
The scent is called "Musk," but I must agree with the reviewers before me, I don’t smell much musk; for me, it’s not a prominent musk fragrance. Much more, a fine, very well-woven harmonious wood scent spreads out on a blanket of shy musk, dominant sandalwood, a bit of cedar, and guaiac wood. It is very rounded and does not undergo a strong development. The top note offers a fine citrus note that lasts about 10 minutes for me. Already in the top note, you can sense where the journey is headed. It quickly becomes woody - warm - balsamic - creamy, in short: really delicious. Animalic notes do not come through for me.
For me, it’s a scent to snuggle into, with a strong tendency to be an all-day fragrance for autumn and winter; however, for the latter, it might be a bit weak once you leave the house in icy temperatures. It fits excellently with men who prefer woody-warm (slightly sweet) fragrances and integrates effortlessly into the current zeitgeist as a sensual scent for autumn and winter, possibly also on a fresh spring day, like today. I also see it on women who want to show some edge without standing out too much but still prefer a slightly masculine touch. I enjoy wearing it very much.
It’s not a unique fragrance, but it is crafted exceptionally well, from start to finish - simply smooth.
I do not know the EDT, so I cannot compare. I have an original sample that I guard like my eyes and hope that the sharing for Musk will soon be fulfilled. A decant is certain for me; at the latest, the bottle should arrive in autumn. It’s a pity that this wonderful fragrance is limited!
